Anyone remember Tetlow Street ?
Beautiful
I'm not even from there, but its here in north east UK " but' I can associate with yesterday feelings, its so utterly sad, shops, pubs clubs industries etc etc,,and everything else gone, derelict streets a void of lethargy,, the only bonus of target is there, mobile phone, drugs vapors etc, and the pot noodle, our UK as been demolished, broken up, torn part, sold off, and rest, its been, giving away,,to the point of"invasion without fight, handed to those on a plate, I'm not political, I'm a Christian ,,but surely everybody's different country's,there history's, cultures, heritages,, are special yes not always peaceful, but what as that to do with us,you beg Differ ,,,,, but for that action of being Christian values rules regulations laws,", you also don't say" everybody's welcome, we've got stacks of room,we have tons of money and yes well accept your evil cruel religions, come on we have houses, hotels to suit your every need, and cars" yes yes we'll give you a car,,hey we absolutely loaded, but do watch the pot holed road, and begging soldier ?
I was born (1946) in the Eldon grove tenaments, my father Tommy Mckinlay had the ex pub that was turned into a betting shop on the corner of Eldon street and Vauxhall Road
Fast as fuck - just how I like it!
Ummm..this song is about a drug deal gone bad, and the kids dancing look to be about 14
Great fun even if the lyrics are all over the place
How on earth did they let you in and have a look
Lol...I am part of the project team!
@@philcalland Lucky! Have always wanted to see around the place for a while.
Back in the mid 1960s I used to work at the advertising firm Arthur Maidens that was located in Vauxhall Road next to the Manweb Depot. At 1.35 you see the traffic coming north from Scotland Road and Cazanue Street. I would often get of the old 544 or 44D and cross Scotland Road, then over the "oller" by the Bus Stop and walk down the wide expanse of Burlington Street, into Summer Seat, then walk down Blackstock Street cross into Vauxhall Road and into work. I recall clean streets and well maintained houses and flats in these areas. The loss of these long gone scenes and communities for a second tunnel, came in my opinion at too high a price. In London always thought Tottenham Court Road resembled the mix of business and design of Scotland Road as it was.
Top great full video good shearing thanks so much very delicious singing and beautiful music 🎶🎶🎶🎶💖💖💖🎶🎶

Brilliant. Still sounding great with a classic tune.

Sorry I recorded Spizz.
Hi, great stuff
Takes me back to Blair Hall days and an evening with the Hillsider's - can I have it all back?🥲
I was there! Was visiting from the USA and heard about this and showed up and had a great day!
Didn't realise they'd recorded anything else other than an AGC acetate in 1964 '24 Manhattan Place' b/w 'Crawling Kingsnake'.
Hi Jerry, yeah, I was best mates with John Hodgson RIP & produced the promos for songs he wanted. Did you know John?
@@philcalland Hi Phil - No I didn't but I love the whole Mersey Beat era with a passion and noticed that there was no reference to the song you posted in the excellent and essential 'Beat Waves Across The Mersey' book by Manfred Kuhlmann. Cheers Richard (aka Jerry Mungo).
@pipelinecenter oh right, I am sure Manfred came to John's house in Huyton to interview him. There is a more up to date video of John Al Peters, Liverpool legend from a video I did, they were called The Chained Collective. The song was called last train to dingle. Do you play or anything?
@@philcalland My time was during the 70's punk era and I have the distinction of having 'played three practise sessions (one in a hotel in Moss Side, Manchester) with a pre Joy Division Ian Curtis on vocals. I was on bass guitar. Unfortunately I was born to late to enjoy the beat boom first hand but was a keen watcher of punk right at the very beginning including being at The Lesser Free Trade Hall in Manchester in 1976 when the Sex Pistols played their second Manchester gig at the same venue.
@pipelinecenter wow, what an experience ...you were actually there...the other 300,978 who said they were, weren't! I was converted to early punk by Eddie & The Hot Rods Get Out of Denver cover and then The Saints, Damned & The Clash...punk in music, punk in attitude and life creed for life!
I remember your band Al from all those 80s days in the Everyman Sunday night, I was the barmaid there back then and a Royal hospital nurse now, XXX
Paul Gray warming that bass up for the Damned.
A serious mullet!
Memories of my old University days back in the late 80s! Love it ❤️
