How did you rout it at the back of your interface???? That's the big question
I know this is from a long time ago, and you might not know anymore, but is that 9 Beat_01 in the Dry Percussion from a pack? It sounds so good with the compression pumping
i need song number 2
Great tutorial!
this is AMAZING
Can you do one on the vocal production too???
I'll see what we can do :)
You’re the besttttt I’ll be waiting for it
great video
Thank you!!
just came to channel. Truly amazing inspiring useful video series. Love the Ableton Packs you make. Hope to see more of these biggest hidden gems I've found on YT in a long time. Awesome stuff and easy to follow. Devoured the whole series today and bought pack to enjoy it with.
Argh amazing - thanks! Glad you're into it :)
Howdy! Great video! Can I ask where you got the formant plugin from?
Hi there - Here you go :) www.maxforlive.com/library/device/4322/formant-filter
This is just what I needed when I typed "john hopkins percs on ableton" in the YT searchbar, tons of thanks for this piece of work!
You're very welcome! Glad you're into it! :)
'promo sm' 💘
fantastic tutorial, thanks
Really nice horns...
i love these drums sounds man!!! i found your stuff through splice BTW do you have any kits that have untouched bass recordings by any chance? im not feeling the ableton stretching unfortunately
Oh amazing - Glad you found us haha! :) What sort of bass sounds are you looking for? Feel free to drop me an email on [email protected] and we'll get something sorted. Cheers
good
Hi Really like what you have done here. I've tried doing the same with my vocal but cant get ride of the clicks when in Classic loop mode. Even after playing with the fades, attack etc. Any other tips my man? Thanks
Hi there - glad you're enjoying the vids :) I'd check that Samplr is warping in Complex or Complex Pro mode. If that doesn't work, you can switch the Simpler to a sampler (Right click on the top of the Simplr and select (Simplr>Sampler) then use the 'crossfade' option. This usually does the trick. Thanks
Thanks for the reply@@TouchLoops

Great tutorial but the cost of all those plug ins!! Costs more than Ableton itself
Yep, I'm with you! All I would say is the principles are more important then the brands really - these just happen to be the ones we've amassed over time. Ableton does an amazing job and equally has the same EQ's, compressors, saturators and distortions. Just apply the same concepts using those and you'll be onto a winner! 👌
@@TouchLoops yeah this is true :) great tutorial though
Thanks! :D
Your voice is incredible beautiful. I love your timbre, and nobody can steal that from you...
These sound so good! They're next on my list.
i love ur voice
🙏
Really great. Thanks!
Glad you liked it!
i try to create drums like this by using single drum sounds , but its sooo hard to create the swing :(
Yep, I hear ya! This might help :D - touchloops.com/blogs/news/programming-realistic-drum-parts
Hey man - greetings from Hackney. Great series of videos!
Hello there! Thanks dude - glad you're feeling them :D
Putin banned it!
7:38 and on was exacrly what i was looking for thank you
Thanks a lot ‼️
How did you make the kind of skittering drum break near the end at around 25:38?
Hi there! That drum loops was taken from our Wild Future sample pack :D - touchloops.com/products/wild-future
Underrated vids man, these are great tips. Really beautiful sounds here, especially with the portmenteau effect.
Glad you like them!
And again, this is very inspiring video to show how to make sounds like Flying Lotus, I am not sure how he make beats. But your way to approach the sound is organic
Thanks mate! Yep, he's a bit of an enigma but glad we got close (ish) haha!
This is the most useful tutorial, you nail the sound! Jon Hopkins goes very deep, into the end of bass.
Wow, thanks! Glad it helped :D
just watched the whole thing and i'm still unclear on what's creating the sucking, changing decay of each of the bass notes. is it filter movement, pitch envelope, amp envelope automation?
Hi there. So, it's combination of filter envelope, heavy side chaining and note length in the midi. The LFO is gently moving the cut off freq around but the main work is being done by the envelope on the filter and the filter envelope amount. After that the processing brings out the harmonics plus automating your choice of paramaters will also add interest.
awesome - thanks!@@TouchLoops
The intro loop is the same percussion loop at the start of dire straits latest trick . kzread.info/dash/bejne/c3-duNatdtHXm7w.htmlsi=7G4oR--4sgchMLG0
i think its the same pattern or very alike but not sampled from there? Not sure though
Woah cool spot! Not sampled from the Dire Straights track but they clearly have great taste haha 😉
I have jupiter-8 v4, and don't seem to have the 'fact 23' preset. Can anyone help here? Much appreciated.
I’ve never heard someone explain an LfO or a synth in general like that. Genius! Thank you
Glad you liked it!
This is awesome. I'm transitioning from logic to ableton and this has been really helpful
Glad it helped! Good luck :D
Lol "rave"
Im really gladiador Ive just found this channel. Fantastic!
