Is this a two day event ?
@markbertoncini8454 ай бұрын
The first event was Turning Green when they graduated from boot camp. Turning Blue was graduation from Infantry School and was several months after the first graduation.
@markbertoncini8454 ай бұрын
And yes, the Turning Blue ceremony did last 2 days. Both on back to back days in the morning.

How cool it would be to be in the band and then get GI bill.

No argument there. And the band was amazingly good. A top notch ceremony all around.

Just got back from Custer area. Beautiful area!! There are a lot of bison in the area. They round them up (as best as they can) and put them in gated enclosures (large areas) for the winter months. There were still a lot of them out free roaming though. When the bison rubbed on the car I was wondering, if it scratched the paint, would that fall under any type of "comprehensive" insurance coverage? LOL.

That was my worry. If it was my car it wouldn't be a big deal. Enterprise Rental probably takes a different view! Family members got head butted by one a few years back and it left a big dent in the rear quarter panel. I guess we got lucky. What a beautiful animal and an incredible view of the park!

@@markbertoncini845 We were in a rental as well! We got within five to ten feet from a few big solitary bulls but they did not show us any interest. Until you see just how big a bull bison is in his prime, you don't understand just how much damage they could potentially do! It was an awesome experience!!

I make it a point to go back every 5 years or so. One of the nicest places to vacation in the country in my opinion.

I wonder what they would do it a vehicle was covered with Buffalo robes and a set of large horns? Would they charge it? Would they just accept the vehicle as a Buffalo? Hmmmmm I’m so glad you had a memorable interaction with these great animals, thanks for sharing!

I think you're right. As long as he doesn't butt the car, he can lick all he likes. It was really cool to have them get so close and see them first hand. A nice road trip!

The Alpaca is actually a Llama and his name is Casper. He’s very kind actually.

Thanks for that info. He didn't seem too kind that day, but maybe he was just grumpy. No harm, no foul, we will visit again and give him another snack.

Of course! The goats as well tend to steal cups and it happens a lot so please no kicking next time! Pan feeding recommended as she did :) I think just not having the cup where he can reach and no kicking our animals please and thank you 🦙 💕
