I've been watching some of your times and I'm really curious how you improved so much from freshman to your now junior year, youve dropped over 4 minutes its insane, do you have any tips?

My freshmen year was bad because I was 40 pounds heavier, super weak in my legs(had to go to physical therapy for it), and my sleep and diet was awful. Once I fixed everything in the summer of 2021 it all came together and I was able to have a breakout season running 17:26 while doing high school soccer. Over that winter is where I made a change completely though. During 2021 xc I was doing 20 miles a week. I did 40-45 miles a week over the winter and was able to get down to a 4:20 1600m by the end of indoor. I ended up quitting soccer after indoor focusing all my attention on running and I was able to get even better during outdoor. My advice is to train smart obviously, but to do a lot of the little things( diet, stretching, strengthening, recovering after each workout, and Sleep especially) Hopefully this helped.
