Bought a house slathered in these things, hate them!
This is a great product! It has been very helpful for many years, but now that my kids are older; how do I get it off without ruining my toilet seat cover
Please follow these steps: - Using a heat-gun or hairdryer heat the base area of the lock for about 1-2 minutes - Take a piece of fishing string and slide it from side to side, between the the base of the toilet lock and the toilet lid. - Once the base portion is removed, use your fingers to roll over any tape residues. You can watch this video, is for a different product, but the technique is the same. kzread.info/dash/bejne/gINk1LabZZSrYrQ.html I hope that helps.
My question is how do we remove the lock from the toilet seat now that our child is grown? Thanks.

Ty we moved houses 1 year ago and this came on my room door it’s annoying cause my siblings like to lock me in there and I didn’t know how to take it off tysm ❤️
Oh so what’s with the hook pieces then?
I didn't use any heat, only dental floss string to remove the lock. After removing the lock some of the sticky material was still on the door which I was able to remove by just rolling it off using my finger.
My fingers did hurt! I reheated and it came off finally! It took with it the paint and part of the wood!
Unfortunately I discovered that if your door was painted (post factory painted) the heat will also peel the paint off.
How do you remove it once it's no longer needed?
Anyone ever phone how how to remove

I feel bad for my plumber as he had to retrieve that cup my daughter flushed down the toilet. well not anymore :)
The back of my toilet isn’t flat so it doesn’t prevent the lock from moving when the toilet lid is opened
Mine will not work 😔
So it's not the lock that doesn't work then right? It's your toilet not being compatible with the toilet lock. Did you try moving the lock towards the bowl to make a tighter fit? That worked for me! Our baby is unstoppable and this actually worked for him.
