This was THE most powerful scene in this movie. All of us have been there. Believing that God exists but just that He is not here for me.

that colonel awards is a bit weird, why does he have a 1939 spange for the 1st class iron cross along with the 1939 iron cross 2nd class. and why does he wear both the ribbon and the one in the button iron cross 2nd class, is it a bit to excessive?

The crises, hypocrisy and corruption in the Catholic Church and elsewhere would not exist today if we had strong leaders who, having a strong and unwavering commitment to basic moral values and decency and who were prepared to rigidly and harshly enforce these by the use of politically incorrect, relentless, steadfast, determined and uncompromising military style discipline at every level, forcing people at every level and in every way possible to be fully accountable at all times and to take full responsibility for their actions and the consequences of these in reality and actuality without exception nor excuse, interrogating people at every opportunity to ascertain the truthful facts of their actions - standards of behaviour around the world would massively improve and would be maintained by the constant application of this kind of firm discipline, therefore solving many of the problems that we have in our world today

"Confide in me the wisest thing you have learned" But how wise do you have to be to see their statement as wise? Wisdom many times seems foolish to the simple. "Have you got anything better?" But in all reality, he should meditate on their statement rather than see it as not wise. But that is also to assume they being dead somehow know more now than they did when they were alive. In the end i loved their confirmation of saying POWER with the tone of the bell. Grounded the pope in understanding the true nature of his role and office. It all comes down to power.

Winters was a major while the German was a colonel so Winters should have waited for the colonel to lower his hand and come out of the salute before he did the same because the German was higher in rank. He should also hv saluted 1st
