    Do longans have to be grafted to fruit at that age, or just grown from seed?

    I use Mushroom Compost and Azomite and cover it with a nice layer of mulch to increase biodiversity! Soil health is super important!

    Its mainly Nitrogen what plants get from Human Urine which can give Vegetative growth & may not increase actual fruits.

    If the zucchini is cut off leaving no stem attached, will that affect the productivity of the plant? In other words, if the cut is made through the top of the zucchini rather than through the stem…

  • @naturalgeo
    @naturalgeo3 жыл бұрын

    Hi!! It doesn’t really affect the productivity to do that. The leftover stem will eventually dry out and fall off. I would alway recommend cutting it at the stem leaving a little bit, this way the zucchini will last a bit longer in the fridge without rotting!

    My Aunt gave me 2 cuttings off of her 5 years ago. There were 18" a piece She lived in Ohio, me in south Louisiana... I decided to plant them in the ground this past January after it became to big for its container @ 11 foot tall! I didn't realize these were so frikin heavy... I had to cut it down to get it in the huge hole I dug... It just bloomed for the first time 4 & 5 July 2021. It had 5 buds come on, 2 fell off The blooms were bigger than my hand..

    You are harvesting them too late at that stage they are seedy and watery do yourself a favour and harvest when they are young , yes much smaller but much tastier and not full of water and seeds. Harvest while the flower is still on the fruit , thats a top tip i was given by a world renowned chef a few years ago .

    I'm 75 years old and been gardening for over 55 years. When I was in Germany back in the mid 60s, the German people would spread both human poop and pee on their crops. For the last few decades I have been adding pee to my compost tea. I call it "Tea Pee".. lol. It's like a miracle drug for plants or plants on steroids.
