Debt free journey ride alongs using Uber, Lyft, Doordash, and other Gigs!
Working in the Gig Economy has helped me to expand my desire to become independent from working a job. I am using a Tesla to drive my dream of building a legacy to pass on to my kids. Elizabeth?!? DOH!
Yep 😂
The haircut is CLEAN
Thank you!
I am so glad to see y'all taking this journey! It is totally worth it in the end. Please do not get discouraged and if you have folks that give you a hard time about it, ignore them. As Dave says, it is like taking diet advice from fat people. We went backwards several times before making traction. You are exactly right though, it isn't about math, it is about changing the behavior.
Thanks for cheering us on! Glad to be on the journey and when we do peer debt free scream yall need to visit the studio and cheer us there! 😂
this is your best video - just hang up the driving career - start a shampoo brand or get featured in a shampoo commericial and retire happily ever after in a few years
Sounds nice
Thank you
Yw
Step 1 which is to save 1k for emergency funds according to dave ramzees ur gd is not in today's inflation times. 1k today gets you nothing. How is that am emergency fund
Of course it’s not enough. But in the grand scheme of it all, in the 18-24 months of paying off debt, you’re not likely to have anything much more than that happen.
this is straight up click bait - in the thumbnail you didn't cover up your lovely hair with a hat
lol
😂 He lured you in with that fresh cut & broke your heart in the video.
From Debt to Debit let’s gooooo
Yes!
Its mostly behavioral like a tenth is math another tenth is organizing and having it wrote/typed
Absolutely!
I have followed Dave Ramsey for years now!
Awesome!
That is awesome. We have too, for about 25 years. Put me in a place to be able to retire at 55. 34 more months to go!
@@Steelin2011 that’s excellent! Congratulations on your early retirement!
So u own or rent
D'o u own a house or rent
I do not own a house, yet.
Hope it goes well for you man, hope you get out of the hole, wishing you the best, don't give up
Thanks so much! These kind of comments help for sure!
Did u see lebron lizard eyes on tv interview
I didn't lol. I'll have to look that up.
I thought 75k was tesla x bill?
No the Tesla was a rental.
i have 8 seats but I didn’t option uber comfort or uber xl
Call support and let them know how many seat belts
This is timely for me. I'm considering renting to do delivery and rideshare. What I'm thinking through is the rental payment vs depreciation and insurance and maintenance/repair costs. It seems like a better deal to have your own car, until you are paying $3000 for a transmission, or even $600 for tie rods, not to mention the money for alignments, tires, brakes, and oil changes. Once I put the money aside each week for that stuff, so I have the reserve when the cost comes up, I'm probably paying the same as the rental. I'm basing that on the tax credit given for miles ($0.67/mile). If I take estimated gas out of that, $0.11/mile (based on $3.30/gallon over 30 mpg, I have $0.56/mile, from the tax credit. If I'm driving 150 miles / day over 6 days, that's $504 per week, right where you were with the Tesla. These numbers do not include insurance. Am I crazy or are you in the same spot as you were previously, and maybe worse because of the insurance. I'll be looking forward to see how this goes for you. Thank you for taking the time to document it, allowing all of us to learn with you.
I would do the Lyft Express program because I don't have other good options in my market. That may change everything, If other platforms do not let me use a rental car. Hmmmm...just thought of that. I'd love to hear some feedback from you and anyone else who may know.
My insurance is $150 a month. I get 40-45 mpg and my gas is average 2.85 with gas app savings. I have had to put a bit of maintenance in. I just paid for unlimited alignments at Firestone. 1 time cost of $200. Also the cost to charge is not included in that $550 and the cost of gas/electricity. I found for myself that the mileage deduction on a basically fully depreciated Prius with relatively reasonable maintenance cost was a better tax strategy for myself. My intention also isn't to keep renting but to buy my own cars and rent them to others and my easiest path to that is to not rent and have a car with no payments.
Beware of Lyft express options lowers how much you're paid per trip I believe by 20% which is already a low rate compared to low rate Uber too. Just fyi. Check out rideshare guy they have a clip about Lyft express paying less.
Dave ramsey doesn't know the rideshare game he's old school doesn't believe in fico score so does any buy a house with out one
Manual underwriting
@@TheDrivenDad driving but bottom.ñine his theory doesn't worl.who has the money to buy a house full with out payments which he believe bec he doesn't believe in a fico score in someways the amount u drive per day its better to rent bec over time uñl.have more cost with the car than u make what does he know
Actually Dave Ramsey teaches to pay at least 5% down for first time buyers, 20% down avoids pmi and to get a 15 year fixed where payment is at most 25% of monthly take home pay. Manual under writing with a lender that won't look for a FICO score if your score is undetermined because you have no credit.
So stupid wtf my son 4 yrs old knows that
Cool
definitely thought it was a real call lol
lol, yeah i had to make sure to clarify it wasn't real cause it sounds pretty close to a real call lol.
love that call and advice
Thanks!
Being out of debt and staying out of debt is amazing! I'm behind you all the way. 👍👍✌
Thanks!!
I had the same scam happen to me today. How disgusting the fake customer service voice the guy is using while simultaneously being a cockroach in human form
Absolutely disgusting! You didn't get tricked right?
@@TheDrivenDad I did get tricked. They got into my account, fortunately I am a new driver and had not uploaded any of my bank info yet. I only use the Lyft direct, and I called support immediately. They weren’t able to take any money and I reset all my passwords. The guy said that “the last passenger reported me for smelling of alcohol” which seemed believable considering the fact that I worked late on the weekend picking people up who had been drinking.
@@Fireguy65 glad you got away safely. I wish that I could push out this video more so people could have more awareness. Welcome to the channel!
I really agree with Dave Ramsey baby steps are definitely the way
💯! Hope all is well on the journey for you.
@thedrivendad - why did you splice in your responses into the Ramsey video audio? I don’t think your intention is to be sketchy - but it’s feeling sketchy.
I just thought it would be a fun way to explain why I chose to end my Tesla rental once the cost went up.
@@TheDrivenDad makes sense; particularly when you disclosed the fact that you spliced the audio later in the video. However, it was pretty disconcerting when I hopped over to the original video, though, and heard a woman’s voice on the call and not yours. Could turn off new viewers (this was the first one of yours I’ve watched, for instance) Good luck with your channel and the hustle!
Thank you so much for the feedback!
Arent teslas SUPER expensive to repair if the battery dies or it gets a fender bender ???
They have battery warranties and insurance
Hey great channel Just wondering what apps you are using to multi app at the moment? Which ones are working the best for your in the summer season currently? Thanks
Thanks! I do multi app. Rideshare: Uber and Lyft. Delivery: DoorDash Grubhub UberEats. Catering: zifty dlivrd Deliverthat. Last mile: Curri. Grocery: Spark instacart. My most frequent apps are all catering and doordash.
How do you manage all these apps at once? Do you have several phones or some kind of software that helps you to stay on track (maximize)while switching between these different on all at once?
I use an android zfold with a couple of programs which are in my description. Maxymo and driver utility helper that manage Uber Lyft DoorDash and Grubhub. I use an iPhone for my catering apps.

Wellllll done on this video 😅 I knew as soon as I heard Anthony O’Neil. I met him a few years ago but I haven’t heard from him in a long while. 😂😂
😂 yeah it was one of the only ones I could find about a rental and rideshare haha!
Damn maybe u can buy another cheaper prius like 2k . And try to work off the 30k . B4 buyin a tesla ? That would be epic
Could be
Rd to the teslas!!!!!! Show us the way brotha 💯
Thanks bro! Will do.
Would you say that even though you’re driving on lower tiers now that you’re actually bringing home more when you adjust for not having to make rental payments? Perhaps it’s too soon to tell since these things always fluctuate anyway?
Definitely without the discounts but summer is definitely bank for black with concerts and events etc.
congratulations big step
Thanks!
Congratulations The Driven Dad!

Banger video !!!! 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks!!
Keep pushing on. We will all make it to where we want to go in life !!
Thanks!
U get ur tesla y yet yo how much u gone put down
Saving for 100% down
Why not use a Tesla since you are wasting time while you're ICE vehicle is in the shop? I do Uber part time (and Amazon Flex) with my Tesla Model Y and at the 2 year mark, I'm at 92K miles with ZERO maintenance.
One problem, I originally rented Tesla for ability to have referrals lower my cost. That program ended. Now I'm saving to buy one without debt.
Stay the course!
Let's go! Thanks for the help bro!
Way to grind it out! 💪🏽👏🏽😎
Thanks Derek
