Katie and Sami!

Katie and Sami!

Hey Guys!

Let us introduce ourselves! We are Katie and Samantha. We both are profoundly deaf and our first language is BSL (British Sign Language). Katie have two cochlear implants and she can speak but Samantha wears hearing aids sometimes.
We want to start up our own KZread channel so we can give people a good laugh and to show our true self.
Our videos will be about doing loads of different challenges, deaf life and many more!
There will be subtitles on our videos for both deaf and hearing.
Hope you all enjoy our videos and subscribe us! :)

now this is just me... as i stated I'm slowly going deaf... and iu all of you. i like how when come to Michael you let it be his choice. i have been told stories through deaf in my family, where hearing forced them speech therapy to speak, and that's wrong. ppl don't make a deaf persons choice for them, they do. i feel same with my hearing. when I go deaf I already know the ENT will want to do surgery to give me some hearing. he's already indicated it. now 2017 I had a tumor right ear removed and was benign. i got a prosthesis to see how it go. now I had that experience , its time to let my hearing go the way God intended it and don't work against it. Blessings to all of you xxxx I need to ask all 4 of you.... Im in Chicago IL which be Midwest dialect for ASL , so will our signs be same or different?

Does Samantha and Michael have more severe deafness than Paul and Katie? Do any of you have no hearing at all? Samantha can you hear anything or are you profoundly deaf? Do you know how to say words with your voice or did you have to learn how to make the mouth and tongue movements? But do you have to guess the pronunciations if you can’t hear?

Well I know everyone’s ears don’t work and can’t hear a thing what people are saying when they do sign language to talk, but it’s a good thing that they’re voices still work a little bit in quiet voices and normal voices too.

Hi Kathleen, Katie! I love women who wear plastic frame glasses. Are you nearsighted or farsighted? How deaf are you? Can you hear your own voice or not? Samantha in the video must be more severely deaf than Katie because she has more difficulty saying words than Katie.
