Wonderful! ❤ Music, our universal language. As wise ones say: The human specie is capable of the highest and greatest accomplishments; and that music is mankind’s greatest achievement. I understood this enlightened statement as: our human ability to control our innate wide range of emotions, and the ability to express them. In this case - into musical instruments. Chloe and the orchestra is another magnificent representation of what we are all capable of - when we come together with the intention of creating a beautiful experience of celebrating life. Collectively we achieve great things. Thank you orchestra, Chloe, maestro and team! Hoping to experience such wondrous moment with you live. In the meantime, sending you lots of love. ♥️

The SSO is on fire in this clip. My copy of the CD was delivered a couple of weeks ago - I bought it direct from Pentatone by going to their website - and I have listened to it daily ever since. Chloe's performance over the whole CD - not just in Butterfly Lovers but in Paganini #1 and Sunshine over Tashkurgan - is stunning and beyond compare.

In the dimly lit hall, her figure stands out, bathed in the warm glow of the spotlight. Her slender fingers caress the strings of the violin with precision, effortlessly navigating intricate melodies that dance through the air. There's no denying her technical prowess; each note is crisp, each passage flawlessly executed. Yet, as the performance unfolds, a subtle discomfort settles in. Her interpretation seems almost clinical, as if every phrase is meticulously calculated rather than spontaneously felt. It's as though the music, rather than flowing naturally from her heart, is being meticulously dissected and showcased for its technical brilliance alone. The emotional depth that one might expect from such a poignant piece feels overshadowed by a relentless pursuit of perfection. Perhaps it's the incessant flourish of virtuosity, where every opportunity to showcase her skill is seized upon with fervor. The delicate nuances that make classical music so profoundly moving appear secondary to a relentless display of technique. Each passage, while technically impeccable, lacks the organic ebb and flow that breathes life into music. Her expressions, though earnest, sometimes seem strained, as if struggling to convey genuine emotion amidst a sea of practiced gestures. It's almost as if the performance is a series of meticulously planned crescendos and diminuendos rather than a heartfelt conversation through music. The raw vulnerability that can make a violin performance transcendent is replaced with an air of calculated showmanship. Yet, despite these observations, one cannot deny her talent. She possesses a rare skill that commands respect and admiration. It's simply that in her pursuit of technical excellence, she occasionally overlooks the delicate balance between proficiency and soul-stirring artistry. A reminder that in music, as in life, sometimes less is more; that restraint can amplify emotion just as effectively as technical prowess.

Have you heard her rendition of the 4th, 5th, and 6th movements? I attended her live performance, on both nights. Her musical sensitivity is as profound as her technical mastery. And the fusion of technique and emotional expressions made it a wholesome performance.

@@lbchua5733 By the way, did you attend the Paganiniana/Chacone/Devill's Trill's recital in Victoria Hall? I have seen one enthusiastic fan report of it, but otherwise nothing. Sadly, it seems to have gone very much under the radar.

@@jackburgess8579 Not to worry. Three cameras and the crew diligently captured and documented this stunning live performance. It was a wholesome performance. I am eagerly anticipating SSO to upload a piece or two soon. Attending the concert live gave me enormous pleasure and I remember that evening I left the Victoria Concert Hall with enormous joy and gratitude.
