Nice rip man! What weight ya got? I got 167 and 169.
Good round My Dude. My form tempo and pull are very similar to your own so it was cool to watch another smooth cat score up the back nine
thats hilarious, how long did this take ?
Thanks fully just a couple minutes as I had just passed a group teeing off on the previous hole
Would be interested in seeing a video of your favorite courses in the dayton area. Been kinda frustrating lately going to some of my usual places around here and it being overgrown or under construction. Keep up the vids, think I found a new throwing putter lol
That's a great idea. I'll put that on the agenda for when I get back from vacation in a few weeks!
Cool to see, me and my boys drive to play Huber all the time. My 6 year old has become obsessed with disc golf, so its a nice course and a quick 9 so works out good. Good to see a quality video from a local guy
Every big city needs a Huber type course. It's great for beginners, practice, videos. I wish they would have put in a nicer playground after the last one was destroyed so that my non-disc throwing kids would be more excited to go there lol
I enjoy Moraine. You just can go if it’s rained. Doesn’t drain well at all.
SMH
Yea the problem with disc golf opposed to ball golf is that the parks are shared. Usually people are considerate but sometimes they don't know or don't care.
Also good Job because you made it🎉
Thank you
Those are really cool
I'm a huge MVP disc fan but I really love my Kois. I still keep their driver in the bag for certain scenarios.
LFG DISCSMITH DISC GOLF!!!
Thank you!
Happy Birthday Ross!
Any idea how the Eclipse Hex flies??
Actually I've never much been into the glow plastics so I haven't thrown a glow hex. I'll keep an eye out for one and give it a shot.
probably the most stable run of hex. At least my og lizottl was. the halloween lizottls were similar
solid. idk if it was just me but your camera was kinda crazy early on. but well edited and i liked how you talked us through your shot selection.
No it's something in my editor when I render the video that glitch happens. Can't see it in the editor or raw footage. Only when it's rendered out which I did like 5 times trying to fix it lol
Love to see you out there showing Mr. Baby how it's done.
He quit on the last hole but other than that did good
"Don’t talk about - playoffs?! You kiddin’ me? Playoffs?! I just hope we can win a game!" I absolutely love Jim Mora's post game interview response. So funny.
Yea it's one of the great interview responses of all time lol
Back 9 coming soon?
Yep I just have to finish editing it
Spending quality time with your kids will pay off very much. It's fun and filled with learning opportunities. Good on you!
Coolness first deer so far
There's a course I go to in the summer time and usually see a family of deer every time
Park looks great!
It's a nice little 9 hole course. Pretty good for beginners though I would say a couple of those 400ft holes should be par 4's for that reason
Real lmao
Bending all the way down to your feet at this age is a chore
LFG DISCSMITH DISC GOLF!!!
Thank you, Chris! I appreciate this video. You’re an amazing teacher.
You're very welcome and thank you! Let me know if you have any questions.
Glad you got to stay in your current job. Close call!
Thank you. Yeah I'm fortunate to be in good standing and have a great relationship with my team that allowed me to be able to stay. Needless to say, I'm not overly happy with how things transpired with the other company lol
Bradley Williams chipmunk gate part 2
lol I wasn't even aware of this and had to look it up. That is too funny
So my takeaway from the video is that is suggested to use the Pitch for Ohio squirrel hunting.
The secret is to not aim for the squirrel. I'm generally good at hitting stuff I don't aim for lol
First!
:)
Great last shots!
Thanks Jerry. It was nice to have a competitive final round matchup for once
Im a huge fan of Vibram, so I was excited when I first heard about Elevation. That is until I learned that their discs are outsourced to China. Which is good and bad because I will most likely never try any of their discs but at least I will be guilt free in doing so.
Yea I'm not too Psyched about the China thing myself
I'm a vibram fan....winter discs.... maybe try Elevation if someone has one to try
Nice Birdie on Hole 12!
Thanks!
I think my buddies were the ones who played through. Said they had seen you there
Luckily most the people around here are cool and patient :)
LFG DISCSMITH!!!
Thanks. Sorry catching up on comments. The last 2 regionals are live and the Final Four should upload this weekend!
Fun to watch!
Thank you. We're having a blast doing the Putter Madness!
Nice guy!!
do you throw that fh flex shot on hole 2 during tournament ?
Yea that's typically the throw I go for. The problem is that I've been getting more distance the more I play so I'm often finding I go long with that Synapse, which is exactly what happened in the tournament. I over flexed between the towers and was ~60ft long. I wanted to disc down to my fireball but the guy walking his dog had his car parked on the road and just didn't want to risk sawing it off into his car lol. This is probably my favorite hole in the city. I aced it back the first year I played on backhand with my Elevation Binx. It was 100% luck as I was terrible but was fun to have happen.
Great put on the 9 hole.
Thank you. Somehow I can still manage to miss a 20 footer lol
Loving that voice over for the bracket.
Thank you. It was easier and a lot better than me having to do it lol
This kept me on edge of seat entire time! Hazy Shade is the best! Love this Series!
Thank you. It's a lot of fun and hoping to record the next episode tomorrow!
Congratulations man!
🎉Thank you very much!
This was a good episode & very informative. Had no clue about Maria Oliva Bag Dilemma.
Thank you. Wish I had a more inside connection to get some news from the source
Dude I am 62 years old I started playing three years ago with only Elevation and I still carry them as utility discs they are special discs I use the koi and interceptor 5 times a round! binx is awesome in the woods for 250 for me love them all! I flick only! I love them.
I love them too. I've been putting with the Koi for about 2 years and now I'm starting to use it for up shots up to 200ft if it's not real windy :)
what happens if we cant make the livestream
You don't have to be present. The livestream will stay published to this channel on the main video page and I'll also send you an email so check either or both :)
@@DiscsmithDiscGolf Alright sounds good. I'll be on the lookout
Can am International subscriber win an amazon e-giftcard instead? Congratulations
I'm sorry but I cannot change the rules during a live contest. I should make that possible for the next one I do up front :)
Hole 12 i think right? At Indian Ripple
That's the one :)
@@DiscsmithDiscGolf everytime I'm in town I probably throw 200 discs at that hole and still haven't aced it. And it's such a straight forward hole zero obstacles haha makes me so mad. Lol
@@DiscsmithDiscGolf I think it was xenia middle school or something like that the entire course is like 180 or less lol that was a wild one
Congrats on 100 subs!
Thank you🎉!
I don't know, it's looking more like a 10 speed version (10,5,-2,3) of a Destiny (14,6,-2,3) It looks very flippy at 60MPH then very overstable at 40. That's a tough disc to control. I like discs like the Innova Star TL3 and the Westside VIP Sword. These discs have a wide range of straight flight. The TL3 is straight at 60MPH and 40. The sword is straight at 45-65. This gives you huge accurate distance. My arm speed is the same as yours, I've hit a couple 410' shots in a field but 375' is my max tournament distance. 320' I can almost always get inside of circle 2, 250' almost always inside circle 1
I think you're right. After watching back the footage and playing a couple rounds with it, it's for sure a bit more understable. Their discs in general require more finesse in my experience. I think people didn't like the binx because if you try to rip it, my theory is that the material stretches and adds wobble to the initial release. So while the rim width my equal 12 speed, the speed to throw it flat and smooth probably is more of that 10 you mentioned. All of that said, I'm still loving throwing it :)
You can't throw far enough to have an opinion. If your consistent distance is 320 and your theoretical max is 410, you have severe form issues and any opinion you have on a disc is skewed by how poorly you're throwing them.
@@samhowl1152 News flash for the Communist: EVERYONE can have an opinion here in the USA. You don't have to pass qualifications for free speech, even your dumb post is allowed.
I've also been enjoying the psychic. I hit a tree and put a little ding in it which sucks but it still flies great. It skips more than the video would show especially on dirt. I really wish they would have chosen a floppier rubber but they are trying to appease people that don't like floppy discs
I personally like the floppier Newcomer rubber more myself. It stops quicker imo and is more stable. I can't throw the ecoflex binx. I've tried all the hyzer, nose up sky shot you can do and it still rolls over on me.
@@DiscsmithDiscGolf honestly just got a newcomer binx the other day. It's one of the flippiest discs I've thrown. I can rip on the interceptor, but have to be much more careful with the binx. It actually turned into a nice roller several times. I've started putting with the interceptor. The pig thumbtrack on it makes it so easy to spin. When I watch TV I'll throw it up and catch it over and over, trying to smooth out the spin. Really started to improve my scores because my putting is so bad.
Oh! I like this!! Can't wait!
We filmed the first one yesterday and had a blast so as soon as I coordinate the other regionals I'll know about release dates in the next week or so.
Great Concept & Nice Editing! Can't wait for Putter Madness!
Thank you. The regional rounds will start publishing soon (next week or so)
Dayton area you say?? Maybe we can collaborate when I come home to visit. I grew up in kettering/beavercreek area. Excited to see these courses I love playing them when im in town
Yes let's make that happen. I'm right by the air force museum. Feel free to shoot me a msg here, Facebook or IG whenever you plan on being in town!
@@DiscsmithDiscGolf sounds awesome dude. My family I stay with lives just by the Greene, but over the bridge in Beavercreek so I'd be right by you making it very easy.
Good place to play against kids. They use there regular hand while u use your off hand 😊 I'm going nuts waiting for the weather to cooperate so I can film on my backyard course...
I'm trying to get them into it. My oldest that was in the video isn't up for it much but her little sister will toss around with me. She likes catching bugs so sometimes she goes out and walks the course and we catch some bugs and throw some plastic. Ton of fun!
