    You struck a deep chord within me man. I've endured eerily similar life events (bullying, cystic acne, being a ginger, loss of family and community) I'm so happy you give yourself the much deserved props for perservering. It wasn't easy and it certainly was not fair. Yet you struggled on, like a fucking warrior. That's a quality you rarely find in people at large and you should be proud. Gonna rep the blue bird at my local in honor of you. I may be a 2-2er right now but I'm going for it. Losing is hard but I'm still not even a year into competition. I'm bracing for impact when the years start to fly by and can only hope I have the guts you do.

    At low %, is it feasibly possible to cover all tech options on reaction or is it a true 50/50 (either u cover tech in place or cover tech rolls away?) I am a little confused on the wording “a read into a reaction”

  • @orangeflare2662
    @orangeflare26622 ай бұрын

    it's a 50/50 between tech in place or anything else. you can only cover TIP if you read it, but if you read it you'll miss every other option. If you wait underneath, you can't cover tip but you can cover both rolls and mistech on reaction

    I'm not a huge melee fanatic but you were always my favorite player ever since I watched your analysis vids on youtube. I found them super insightful and gave me a lot of good ideas for how to analyse my/other's games in League. I don't know how much demand there is for those type of videos but it would be sick if you could keep doing high-level analytical content.

    I try not to interact with the greater smash community much anymore, but I got to say thanks for playing Ginger. It was really nice getting to see you play over the years. Hope in the future you have fun playing melee on those rare occasions when you get to sit down with a gamecube, a CRT, and friends.

    @ginger, the dair at 13:53 in your vid (not the matches' ) has no shine follow up sadly as fox is in that weird bending backwards animation which is why (i think) he was waiting a bit, immediate shine would have probably missed Be it because of the falco's spacing or just that animation But that stuff happens a lot to falco, hit a dair, opponent bending backwards, shine misses, reversaled/shielded Imho its due to shine being placed more towards the back side of falco So guessing its not that the falco was too late, there was no 'true-ish' follow up with shine there

    Thank you for every bit of advice and encouragement you've given me through you content and commentary. I always appreciated it how well you could articulate a thought out analysis. For many aspiring Falcos of your time (so far) you were like Cactuar. Practical advice, straight to the point, given without ego nor mystery, and incredibly useful.

    Hi ginger. I hadn't watched you in a while because I stopped following the melee scene. I just want to say that I really enjoyed your streams 5 years ago. I remember discovering some cool bands because of you. I know what it's like to try and pursue competitive gaming and being a creative person. We grow and develop a long-standing relationship. We don't have to regret what we do. Melee is only meant to be taken in stride when our head is in the right place and if it's too painful for you to go to tours I understand you. Just don't sweat it. Nobody here will judge you whether you choose to move on from melee or one day return.

    I learned quite a lot from you over the years, and you were always one of the names that'd get me to click on a vod with excitement. Sad to think I'm not gonna be able to root for you in tourneys much longer, but we're all grown-ass adults now, there's more important things in this world than tourneys, and I'm glad you're staying in the community, because that's honestly always been the more important thing. As a competitor it's your job to laser focus on results, but tournaments are really just the framing device that brings the community together, and that togetherness is the real goal. I hope the retirement works out great for you.

If I had to play like this to win, I'd never play this game ever again. thank god this is just a general guide. lol this is a, "how to play like a lame higher then average falco" guide.

    I watched this last week but wanted to come back to drop a comment. Dude your work ethic is crazy. I remember watching your story of Ginger video. That video was so beautiful. I remember you saying you used to work like 60 hour work weeks at subway. You’ve put in so much work for the game and it clearly shows. You were the first player to actually explain what the heck the Sami nair was. You’ve left your mark on the game and are a piece of melee history. It went from your brother losing to chu dat with one hand to you beating chudat at MainStage. Best of luck in your future endeavors 🫡🫡🫡

    Hey Ginger, I ran into you and on ranked once. I've been playing really for 10 years, but you four stocked me, and made me look like a total rookie. I was astonished. I knew it'd never happen, but I hoped I'd run into you again, someday. Oh well, life has different plans for all of us. Wishing you the absolute best in this crazy and all your endeavors.
