The problem with Iann was that he came up as an Industry plant and that whole stigma was still majorly negative at the time. He had good music compared to others such as Jumex which allowed him to grow much faster and maintain a more loyal fan base due to him actually being a decent artist. But the Emo rap nice died along with Juice Sadly and Iann at that point wasn’t big enough to become the new face of sad boy rap like Juice did after X died. His biggest song being where he was a feature in mood ruined both him and 24Kgoldn because of the tik Tom artist/song stigma and saturation it caused. Iann has maintained similar numbers for the past few years but he’ll likely never truly grow to major heights just because of the way music and rap has shifted. Even guys who peaked just a couple years ago like Lil Tjay and Polo G aren’t doing the same numbers as they did and are more so maintaining. With Iann it’s an even worse case because Emo rap is dead as a genre, even an Og like trippie with the help of MGKS fan base couldn’t revive it with that album.

Of course he get upset if his career fail cause he wasn’t hiding the fact he an industry plant but even then you don’t come up no more. You only get what you want doing what Diddy made everyone do or people like Diddy master

I love Iann Dior but please NEVER AGAIN call him better then Prime LAROI, I mean I love both artist but LAROI's better, and it's also a shame that he's fallen off and his BLIND ep is really underrated

I always say that, iann never fell of cause he never was actually on top. Yeah, when mood droped his numbers went up, but it's just a side effect. Many people still know him like "that guy from mood". When everyone forgot about mood, his number went back to normal. 13-16 mil monthly. I dont know why, but people dont recognize his talent. He's not less talented than kid laroi, but this guy getting crazy features and numbers cuz he got some connetions in the industry. I'm pretty sure iann could've got juice feature since they both worked with nick mira and taz, but he didn't.

my opinion on all of your points 1. did you expect him to blow up on a bad album, did you expect taz taylor to promote a bad album? 2. none of iann diors videos actually have the words "industry plant" in the title. he has a playlist called industry plant, but playlists dont come up as search results, and how is the poor management ianns fault. 3. in 2020, he was at his peak, and he did only sold 14k, but at the same time, physical copies couldent be sold because of the rona 4. you are right, this album didnt do that good, but also at this time, iann was switching to more pop stuff, so his original fanbase that liked rap did think it sucked ass 5. yea 6. yea, but he still does get ok numbers. his last album didnt, which was weird because it was really really good. but all of his singles have been doing really well, and he made a project called BLIND, and 3 of the songs in that track were actuall so good and did do really well (House On Fire, Crazy For You, I Think You Should Go)

Honestly, Iann didn't completely fell off. He is still continuing his music regardless and tries to create a variety for those who still listens to his music. Obviously, nothings ever good enough will ALWAYS be his best project to the majority as when he was working on that project, he went through pain and stress during his life to create that masterpiece that nobody will ever forget. Usually or at least when someone drops their biggest hit, it's when they would go through a tough, strenuous moment in their life. Basically, that mixtape was his runaway and it got him pretty far. I prefer his current music than his past music even though I listen to it all anyway. In honesty, if I had to say an album that many people still find the good of was on to better things. That album actually did pretty well after a dissatisfaction of the previous releases at that time. Truthfully, he is getting better and improving himself mentally and musically or at least putting more focus towards that. After all, it's not easy to recreate what's already in the past.

Iann explained in a recent livestream that Taz deleted all his old songs off Soundcloud without him knowing, which mainly led to the IP allegations - people genuinely had no idea he was dropping anything before. This would be a good video if it was more objective and you did a proper research. Calling the album Industry Plant is the same as with MGK and Mainstream Sellout, basically calling out the haters and it works. Also I don't know where you got your info but I've been listening to Iann for years and IP is generally taken as his best project among majority of the fanbase.

I noticed that when lil skies had recently like 10 snippet, he kept the 5 best unreleased and for some reason he only drops the rest of it :/ i realy dont understand why we are still waiting for songs like music n pain, need some rest and gone in the wind, time, word to my soul, trough the vines, thor, ect...

Most of those songs are never releasing, especially the grails that are over 4 years old. It’s also a good chance since he’s independent now he can’t drop anything he made while he was under Atlantic, don’t quote me on that but a lot of artists fall under a contract like that. Nevertheless tho, he prolly wouldn’t want to drop any old music he made anyways :/ it is what it is just only can hope for better music in the future
