I have seen my fair share of tragic ending in movies and TV shows, but this is one felt really different, so different that I feel depressed to this day whenever I see the video or mention of anime. Watched it in 2019, 5 years on, I never got over the ending and probably never will

SPOILER I'm 14 too so I completely understand how it would feel to die at this age. It's not easy, it's not okay, it's not acceptable and I can't take it. But I'm really thankful to arima and kaori for being so brave and living as well as they can.

*SPOILER* Their love was the sweetest, purest most innocent love I've ever seen. I just wish that Kaori could've lived longer to let that love blossom. I already knew she was going to die before starting the anime but anyways the part where she died didn't make me cry as much as the parts where she struggled. The parts where she fought to live hurt me so much. Much more than her death itself, her struggles to survive were heart wrenching. She reached us, and we'll never forget her.
