    Great invention. Unfortunately the latest carbon Power.XT 2.0 SLS RDM has a top that makes it impossible to fit in other brand masts like Neil Pryde (contrary to the aluminum one, that does not have that regrettable feature…).

    Fin use und Foil sorry das ist nix entweder ihr entscheidet euch bei dem S Type für die Finne oder sonst nix beides geht nicht, die Performance haut einfach nicht hin ( die neuen NP V8 fahren euch um die Ohren), wenn es auch noch fürs Foil passen soll. Die neuen Fin Warps sind allerdings wieder der Hammer!

    Eigene Erfahrung? Fahre E_Pace auf Finne und Foil und bin recht zufrieden. S_Pace habe ich auch ab 6.6, im Finneneinsatz überzeugend, auf dem Foil noch nicht probiert…

    @@davethewave9380 Ja beide V8 und S Pace 8,8 im direkten Vergleich and the Winner is V8, S Pace hast du einfach kein Druck mehr hinten an der Gabel dann noch merkt man fürs Foilen gemacht auch kein Druck lateral nach unten der fehlt zum großen Teil den brauchst du bei Slalom Boards bei Foil halt nicht!

  • @duotone.windsurfing
    @duotone.windsurfing4 ай бұрын

    Hi Reiry, erst letztes Jahr haben wir unsere S_Pace mal wieder gegen das V8 getestet. Ja du hast Recht, die NP Segel funktionieren besser auf dem Foil was primär am geringen Loose Leech liegt. Dafür waren wir alle der Meinung dass unser Segel auf der Finne immer noch die beste Performance liefert (denn wir hatten neben NP auch noch einige andere Segel beim Test mit dabei).

  • @reiry429
    @reiry4294 ай бұрын

    @@duotone.windsurfing Es war aber genau anders herum ? NP V8 auf der Finne deutlich besser, ich habe ewig an Vorliek des S- Pace experimentiert bis ich die ähnliche Performance hatte, also überzeugt hat mich das Zwitter Projekt nicht, besser ist es reine Segel fürs Foil zu haben und nur Fin Segel wie das V8 das auf dem Foil überhaupt nicht richtig funktioniert ( dafür hat NP ja die flight Serie!) Also dafür sind aber die neuen Warps von euch unschlagbar also statt S Pace gleich aufs Warp ;-).

  • @Jaxblckkk
    @Jaxblckkk4 ай бұрын

    @@reiry429 Tendenziell sind alle Cam Segel "gut" auf dem Foil, das liegt einfach an der Stabilität die die Cams dem Segel geben. Sowohl das V8 als auch das S-Pace sind reine Freerace-Segel. Bin beide gefahren, welches dann letztendlich besser ist, finde ich Geschmacksache. Das V8 (Fin) zieht deutlich mehr auf der Hinterhand als das S-Pace, weil es so nah an dem RS Evo liegt. Mag einem Racer mehr gefallen als dem Freerider der schnell fahren will. Für 2-3h auf dem Wasser kommt es dann deutlich auf den Trainingsstand an. Verglichen mit meinen V8 Flight ziehen beide wie Sau, aber das Flight kannst du auch nicht auf der Finne fahren. Da kommst du garnicht richtig los.

    I sail a Jag 106, year #2 version, and it is almost ideal. Yes, I am hunting for a quiver of fins as the stock fin is too "lifty" in super choppy seas. Perhaps a less upright fin is needed.

    I love how easy it is to go upwind with a foil windsurfer! Like he says, you can go anywhere you want to. I've noticed that when you turn the board upwind, the front of the board tends to rise and you have to be careful not to breach the foil. It's best to turn upwind gradually. Conversely, when you turn downwind, the front of the board tends to go down. You have to be careful not to nosedive, and like turning upwind, it's better to turn downwind gradually.

  • @duotone.windsurfing
    @duotone.windsurfing9 ай бұрын

    Exactly correct! As you carve the foil, it creates more lift and so a harder carve with more pressure creates the greatest lift and makes the board rise faster, versus the softer approach applies less pressure and less lift

    @@duotone.windsurfing Yes! Another tip I learned from a clinic with Andy Brandt, the famous US clinician and DuoTone sponsored rider, is when sailing on a broad reach downwind, move your back hand forward on the boom. That tip really helped me a lot with downwind control. Before that I had my back hand pretty far back, and I was tending to oversheet while going downwind. Having my back hand forward also makes it easier to spill a little air out of the sail if a sudden gust hits.

    I got a 7.3 this year, and I'm very impressed how much wind it can take without getting back handed og overpowered. It just continues to be fast and powerful way into the range of my 5.7 wave sail - and planing power is excellent. It's always a bit tricky with cams at the beginning, but the pay back in power, range and speed is all worth it. All the best - Per, Denmark
