I thought you were some huge reviewing channel given the quality of the video, and yet you weren't (yet). Also I believe (but could be mistaken because of dementia) that this game was playable a while before it's release date, it just feels like it's been ages more than 4 years ago. I also love the innocence of some tips you give, mainly the time, don't stress it!

yeah the story is hard to understand as its told through small dialogue pieces and especially the logs for items and monsters but it is really good once you understand it imo, the next dlc also kinda builds on it which is quite nice.

This game is awesome. I play it everyday on ps4. I got lucky with this game. Stadia gave it for free if you were a pro member (RIP Google Stadia). Then I heard about the shutdown of it. Got sad. On a random day, I was at 5 below. They were selling ROR 1 & 2 for only $5, of course. I love telling people about how I got into ROR

If you know how to play, the clock does not matter. You can spend 30 mintues on every stage doing nothing, and still do fine. On the hardest difficulty. Good luck on your runs, it's very fun exploring this game for the first time!

There are many bad tips out there, the worst one is that you have to rush the game to avoid the difficulty spike, but if you rush you don't get a good build with items which is exactly what make you stronger enough to survive. I recommend watching videos from @RacesVideos, he's an excelent ror2 player

A big misconception: time doesn't matter as long as you're looting, while gaining items you get stronger then your enemies do in the same amnt of time, this applies to all difficulties, from drizzle to eclipse 8

this is like very very wrong, being slow is a death sentence as it leads to you taking longer to kill enemies and then you end up taking longer each stage and then you take even longer next stage due to that and you will eventually just do no dmg and get one shot on higher difficulties. Tho it is right that looting the entire stage is the goal usually but with minimal time loss

Great video man!! Love seeing more people get into Risk of rain 2 it's such a gem also the fuel array is a equipment slot item with no abilities of it's own, however it is intended for unlocking another character! the way the item works is whenever you are holding it if your health drops to 50% it'll detonate on the spot!! I wouldn't worry about going for the character though until you feel comfortable goin for the challenge!!!

I've been a fan of Hi-Fi Rush from the moment it came out. I believed that it will show game corporations that you still can make a good story-oriented game and it will be a success. But the ge Howewer the game unfortunately didn't sell as well as we might think... I feel like that's fault of the non-existent promotion budget. This game deserved better, it deserved greatness nad Tango Game Works deserved the best. Corporations only care about the profit and that's the sad truth we're left with... "From where you're kneeling it must seem like an 18-carat run of bad luck. But, truth is... the game was rigged from the start."

I'd take the other cat (Little Kitty Big City) game over this any day. It's the dichotomy of modern gaming. Indie full of charm and great gameplay or complex story hyperrealistic mostly cinematic games. I'll take the game where you can BE like a real cat over the one that's made to LOOK like a real cat.

I think you overestimate the market for this. Rhythm games appeal to a niche group of people. Marketing wasn't going to save it. For example: Balatro - one of the best card roguelikes had similar abysmal marketing. And it exploded because it appeals to a large audience. And just to add insult to injury, Hi-Fi Rush had much more coverage than Balatro did.

Not sure if this is 100% true as I haven’t bothered to check but tango probably went under due to the garbage fire that was redfall, still a shame they shut down though, hifi rush was and always will be peak Xbox for me. For clarification the mix of redfall absolutely bombing and hifi rushes alright reception probably made them look like an easy thing to shut down, which is sad

Not sure if that's the case. Tango staff themselves said the game was a massive hit and a commercial success. Quite impressive for a game that launched the day after it was announced. Keep in mind, Microsoft shut down three other studios at the same time. This was almost certainly a company-wide "bottom line" thing, and Tango was seen as an "acceptable" casualty, despite cranking out a fair few successes, including their most recent one.

Gen Xer here. We grew up with yuppies, the Cold War, and AIDS, and those of us who could put two and two together could see that climate change was going to crash society at some point. There wasn't much point to selling out when you were expecting to die in nuclear war or from having sex.
