Some tips to add up: At 2:10:59 the way she mentioned "it's also beautiful because it's imperfect" actually applies to the last question session 2:33:39 when she mentioning "Wabi Sabi" theory from Japanese culture, the beauty of imperfection, accept what it be and appreciated It, the both topics were actually resonated.

When you can understand the subject matter of a solo without reading a description… that’s how you know it’s special. Well done Elliot on a wonderful performance, and thank you Brian for bringing us on an emotional journey with your solo!

We can't always take the natrual solution, sometimes we have to build something, you have to be comfortable for sure, Try to propose 3 ways of phrasing(for the end of the phrase) or for connection between the phrase. (other way of phrasing) to surprise yourself, don't stay in the comfort zone. That's why you have to have more proposation to give yourself more possibilities and to not get bored in your work.

Great work guys. This made me have more inspiration on our upcoming concert on campus. At 1st the music wasn't as appealing to me untili heard you guys as professional players. I have a question. So I see 2 people playing on 1 marimba. Do they come I different sizes, meaning that they come with more octaves than others or all they all the same? Does this apply to the other 3? (Glockenspiel, xylophone, vibraphone).
@worldpercussiongroup3605 Жыл бұрын
Yup you can get 4 1/3 Octave Marimba, 4 1/2 and 5 Octave.
@raquelvasquez5152 Жыл бұрын
Wow. That's amazing. Does that also apply to xylophone, vibraphone and glockenspiel?

Johan,I loved,how you worked with the young players...tak så mycket! (when I couldn't sleep in the night before a concert -mostly keyboard solos - I made all the movements to the bars in the dark SLOWLY and CONSCIOUS...gorgeous memory training,and you surely fall asleep afterwards...way better than counting sheeps).best wishes Severin (I was in Sweden 10 times every summer,meeting Richard Sundstedt from Malmö sometimes...we also played a duo concert in Switzerland in that period)
