the DSM and all versions is not the bible of psychiatry or psychology , it provides a universal language that professionals can refer to for guidance. We are still learning about the brain and its complex mysteries, so as behavior evolve so will the research . Humans put so much emphasis on professional materials when it is not needed. Don't over think this. It's nothing concerning about the DSM until you are as the individual begin leaning into your own understanding and letting your perspective guide you.

Sounds like human experience...and assuming that anybody able to think outside the present moment amd can think in terms of concepts. As well as ideas of their own are somehow sick. Nihilism is present in most people. People thinking their jesus that would just depend...on concept of jesus. They either literally think they're the 2nd coming. Or they believe in the ability to body christ as a metaphysical deity in which they should embody. So that can be misleading. Some of the greatest psychologists that have lived often talk about ideas that moder. People would try and portray as chizophrenia. Maybe it's often just another way of thinking.

Theres specific pathology occurring in schizophrenia. When you encounter someone with it you would know something is wrong as the ideas are really bizarre/delusional which is clearly separate from unconventional beliefs that may hold merit. You would also see negative/cognitive symptoms which are disabling so it's not just those positive symptoms that are present.

What is the best product or brand to solve your erectile dysfunction problem? I read plenty of superb opinions on the net about how exactly Erectodom Secrets can help you achieve total control over your erectile dysfunction. Has anyone tested out this popular erectile dysfunction treatment?

thanks for the presentation, was interesting learning about the various differences b/t the manuals. it's interesting (and concerning) how some people seem to think appealing to the credentials of others makes something more valid. basically the DSM 5 seems as arbitrary as any of the previous versions. "evidenced based manual." Evidence from where? "Careful consideration of the scientific advancements. . ." no scientific advancement exists such that it can diagnose mental illness, so it's unclear how scientific advancements--beyond those able to rule-out physical illness causing mental illness--has actually led to a greater diagnostic precision. i mean people act as though a convention of like minds, of those w/ unsurpassed clinical experience, somehow removes the subjectivity of diagnosis. It's laughable, and imho, shows the extent to what psychiatry actually knows. Even if the "inter-rater reliability" improves, it still doesn't mean what they are actually rating is valid--just as if you convened the "best artists" in the world to determine the best art and somehow came up w/ a scale to minimize discrepancies b/t raters, it doesn't change the fact that the "artness" of art is in the eye of the beholder. then you this exponential increase in diagnoses. . .shit's absurd. from what i've read even the DSM 3 God (forget his name, spitzer maybe) acknowledges the subjectivity and arbitrariness of the DSM.

The DSM-5 is a CATALOG of BILLING CODES. It's basically a book of bullshit.... Psychiatry is a pseudsocience, a drug racket, and a means of social control. It's 21st Century, with potent neuro-toxins Psychiatry has done, and continues to do, FAR MORE HARM than good.... Why are there *NO* "statistics" in the DSM....????.... Because it's a CATALOG of BILLING CODES.... It BULLSHIT, masquerading as "science"....

Just as the DSM 3 and newer only focus on the overt diagnoses, so does this Powerpoint only look at the overt history of the construction of the DSM. The DMS 3 was super-popular due to its having been sold to the public first. Everyone suddenly became concerned and thus, money flooded in to further hone this otherwise biased means by which to sell lots and lots of snake oil to hippies.

kzread.info/dash/bejne/aH6EydKao8rblbQ.html&t First line witness about Robert Spitzer from DSM III and Allen Frances from DSM IV admitting that the DSM is non scientific evidence based and that that medication being prescribed upon the non scientific dogma of the chemical imbalance of the brain. Psychiatry and its DSM is a scam for big pharmas to sell their pills. The public needs to be informed.
