    I am handquilting a pieced quilt right now; I've seen some amazing examples of wholecloth quilts, someday I would like to do one. I have so very many 'someday' quilts on my list!

    Your video touched my heart so much! God IS so good! I'm a long-time quilter and I have a very rare autoimmune disease in my eyes - for the past 3 1/2 years the best specialists have been fighting to save my vision. I was going blind, and they couldn't stop it. They told me there was nothing more they could do. I am a Christain and I held firm to God and to my faith. I lost the ability to quilt, and it broke my heart, quilting is my passion. Last week, the specialist performed surgery on one of my eyes to try to restore some of my vision. My vision isn't perfect, but - 2 days ago, for the first time in 3 years - I threaded a needle and I made a flower for a grandmother's flower garden quilt!! So yes - GOD IS SO GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I'm certainly celebrating with you, sometimes we take the simple things in life for granted, like threading a needle. I hope and pray that you are able to return to quilting as it certainly is a healing activity.....

    The foil does the trick! Very ingenious. My grandson's other nana (late) made doll houses. I never saw her do them. All the best to you.

    I have a question, do you ever use pearl cotton or embroidery thread to hand quilt? I just finished a quilt and want to hand quilt it, would those threads be okay to use. Your work is soo awesome !

    That design does look heavier than most piecework, almost like a weighted blanket. I like that I am hand quilting in my home, watching your video of you hand-stitching in yours. Round and round we go!

    Your work is exquisite! Do you do your tops for the quilts by hand or sewing machine, when you do the piecing ?

  • @kenjisaefkow7690
    @kenjisaefkow7690 Жыл бұрын

    ...this one is wholecloth (prestenciled). For pieced tops I either sew by hand, or machine. The quilting is always by hand tho'
