God is separate from religion. I feel so sorry this happened to you. I felt this way before, always busy at church, I still go though very hard things as married to a Pastoral Family. It’s extremely hard, but I understand God is not church. Many sadly believe church is God. Many are doing so much work at church and not even spending 5mins alone with God. I was one of them for years, always at church but never with God. I separated from church, I almost became an atheist, I felt free to manage my time and schedule as I wished, also thought church was controlling and judgy I wanted nothing to do with their members. I’m at a better place right now, still a Christian, to me there’s no way to deny God’s existence.

Hello there Trent! I've heard everything you've said and in hindsight it seems to be logical, but the truth is when you go deep into all of these teachings you will realize that it isn't like that because there's a lot to unpack. What it shows is that you we're truly never a Christian, you were just born in a Christian family

I have had real encounters with God, King Jesus, angels, and demons. I have seen much with my own eyes when I stepped into my call and gifts. PLEASE LISTEN. I have NO reason to lie. They are ALL real! Truth is not dependent on our understanding, belief, or approval. We do not get to choose or change facts no matter how much we want to. I experienced God saving my life from literal death SO many times, even by talking to me audibly to warn me of a gunman who would have killed me and my mother. Even so, I still resisted and walked away because of the people in the church, but God Himself sought me and taught me, not the church. King Jesus is 100% real. He appeared with an angel by my bed and gave me comfort for the things to come after He called me. No disrespect but you really do not understand the Scriptures and the beauty of God. It is not about being good or bad. It is a spiritual law in Genesis 3 that was broken and resulted in a death sentence that Jesus paid for those who follow Him. The wage of sin is death, as stated in the Bible, and since Jesus had no sin, He could not be given the wage of death, overcoming for all who will believe and remain in Him. This is done by staying in His word, and love for others. Most Christians have it wrong, and I am literally crying for you right now. But I plead God would show you who He really is and not who men say. I pray you will encounter and understand the truth, not what the main church is preaching, but with a clean slate not tainted with others' interpretations of the Bible. Let God teach you. Most of the sermons now are junk. It will change soon because we truly are in the last days, and turmoil is about to come to America through war and famine. Mark these words. God showed me this 10 years ago in great detail. When it happens, please call on His name. He is so merciful and good. He just wants your heart. The story of God and humans is the saddest love story ever told: A King dying in the most brutal, humiliating way, and yet most of the people he died for choose not to believe or receive His gift of life. :(

Before leaving Christianity why don’t you at least hear the other side of these doctrines you struggle with. We have a fallen nature but that doesn’t mean a baby is sinful. Accountability must be the central understanding of sin. Also, there’s so many scriptures that say the lost perish and are no more. Jude and Peter both say Sodom and Gomorrah received eternal fire. The results of the fire are eternal. Immortality of the soul was a lie from the serpent. John 3:16 clearly defines the destiny of the two classes of people. There’s so many doctrines that have been adopted from Roman Catholicism they don’t even know where they got them from.

Just my two cents but that sounds like good ole Baptist teachings to me. Judging God by a religion is dangerous. There are God laws and man made god laws. Man made god laws are not about salvation, they are hoops and hurdles to prove loyalty to that religion. That includes filling the offering plate as it passes by. Note that not one prophet ever started a religion. Man made religions are designed to benefit themselves. Religions suck. The original sin was disobedience and the fruit came with a warning; (In the day you eat of it you shall surely die). It caused a physical change in bodies that led to eventual death. Preachers like to play with this but, we are born into sin, not born sinful. Hell is simply the separation from God. Fire and brimstone won't matter a lot to a spiritual you but they never mention that. The incredible scorching pain is only in the minds of men. When you die your body is gone, you won't have the sensory perception of pain. There is no physical to feel this scorching pain. The torment will be the separation from body. Read it again, judgement is not about condemning everyone who can't toe the line, it's about being judged righteous. I spent two years touring in a Christian musical group and we often stayed with the preacher, or at an elder's place. One thing I noticed was that every church, regardless the religious root, aka denomination, they each had one extra secret, usually a cherry picked verse interpreted sideways that made them just that much closer to heaven. This causes a certain level of pride within the denomination which leaves them believing they are better than everyone else. You already know where pride leads. God did not separate truth in to 10,000 Christian denominations, nor the thousands of other belief systems, men did. Regardless how obvious it may be, every religion has a take-over policy. Take a look at Islam. You are either one of them or an enemy of Allah, which is why they blow each other up. If you aren't of the proper sect you are kafir, and destined to die. Killing you is only doing Allah a favour. It's just the evolution of a religion. Look what Christianity was doing 600 years ago. Your life, your future is between you and God, not religions, traditions, or rituals. Don't give up on God because men failed you.

We are “born sinners” because when we enter this world we are going to sin no matter what, that’s not to say that a baby who cannot sin has sin in them but it is to say that because they were born into a fallen world they will sin. And yes, we are all sinners, it is not unhealthy to acknowledge that. Everyone is imperfect and that is healthy to acknowledge in fact.

Timothy 4:1 and 2nd Timothy 4:3 comes to mind seeing this. I pray for understanding and a return to faith for all who’ve been hurt by others. We shouldn’t judge others. That’s God’s job alone. We should have compassion and try to put ourselves in other’s shoes and try to understand where they’re coming from.

TRINITY IS AFFIRMED Centuries PRIOR TO CHRIST ….. Go to 2 Kings 4…start at verse 18….A woman’s only son has died. She travels to Eliseus and seeks his help. He first sends his servant Gehazi to lay Eliseus’s staff on the boy but the staff does not bring him to life. So Eliseus comes to her house himself and descends onto the boy matching his eyes, mouth, hands to those of the boy and the boy grows warm….Eliseus walks about then descends a second time but no mention is made of eyes, hands, mouth… the boy sits up and coughs 7 times. Christians believe God descended intimately upon mankind twice. Eliseus symbolizes the One Being…God…who first began to save mankind ( the dead boy) through the Jewish Laws (the staff) for them and anyone else who joined them. But scripture says “the law brought nothing to perfection” ….so the dead boy remains dead…..until Eliseus himself (God Himself) descends on the boy…..First matching his eyes, mouth, hands to the boy as Christ in pain because for a big face to match simultaneously to a small face as to eyes and mouth, the adult must grimace as in pain….moving his mouth upward. The boy ( mankind dead in sin) comes to life at the descent of the Word as Christ in pain on the cross. Then God/ Eliseus descends on mankind again as Holy Spirit on Pentecost 50 days after Easter…and the boy coughs 7 times…the number of gifts of the Holy Spirit in Isaiah. Thus an old testament Jewish writer of the Bible revealed the Trinity….

Hi there! Please, before you completely leave the Christian faith (or if you already have), I want to encourage you, while you are on your truth journey: when you are ready, to look into Catholicism. There are many misconceptions about the Catholic church, but once you look deeper underneath the surface, and hear it from their side, you might become rather interested & enlightened. I was evangelical and now am on my way to the Catholic Church for several reasons. I hope you’d be willing to look into it. I’ll be praying for you. God bless you ❤️

It ultimately doesn't matter what your human reasoning is. Truth is truth regardless of what people think. We live in a world where people born with xy or xx chromosomes decide by their human emotions and reasoning, that they are not the sex they were born as. I say this to point out that it doesn't matter if a person born a male, feels like they're a female, or vise versa. The truth stares them in front of their face every time they go to the bathroom. For since the creation of the world God's invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that were made. Although this has been revealed, people reject what is clearly seen because they exalted their human thoughts above their Creator. Professing to be wise they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible Creator and King of the Universe, into a image of the created, exalting themselves to be higher than the One who created them. Does the clay pot turn to the Potter and say, "I don't believe you created me. I am much more intelligent and understanding than you." ? ... Yet, the Creator allows the free will of the pot because if the pot doesn't want to be the pot, He doesn't desire to hold it against its will.

The Bible a Catholic book condemns protestantism and orthodoxy. Protestant’s including the orthodox say with Satan WE WILL NOT SERVE the infallible Magisterium of the holy Catholic Church therefore they are anathema - outside of salvation ie going to HELL. (most soul’s in HELL didn’t believe in HELL when alive - they do now!!). Please watch the warning or illumination of conscience by Christine Watkins. Christine was a militant anti Catholic atheist until she had this phenomenal experience which totally changed her life. Most people (including myself) don't leave the church because they want to live a life of sin. They leave it because of the emotional and psychological damage it can cause a person. When I became a Father it changed my entire perspective on religion. I could never throw my creation to the wolves, label them flawed, undeserving, damn them, threaten them, and constantly make them feel like they had to earn my love. I was a child who was abandoned by my parents, and Gods constant cold shoulder, deaf ear, and sinner sinner sinner BS broke me. Trying to fill my void of abandonment with church and religion only ever drove me to a suicide attempt. There is no force on this Earth that can ever make me trust a church or a Christian ever again. Regardless, I raised 4 lovable, good hearted, wonderful caring children. I did that because thats who I am at heart. I never had to be punished or tormented or terrorized into doing good or striving to be the best version of me that I can be. Because of my experiences......I will never pass on any of what the bible has to teach unto my children. My 2 oldest sons turned into great "trauma-less", hardworking, loving human beings, and my 2 youngest arent any different. No thanks to the Biblical God. We dont need anyones permission to be good to each other, and through my experiences, all I've seen religions do is further divide and destroy people, not to mention create vicious, delusional narcissists.

I have one honest question; do you know for a fact that there is no God and Jesus is not the Messiah? I am not asking if you personally believe this, but rather, do you know for a fact. My point being, if you don't know for a fact, you are playing a VERY dangerous game? Because, IF Jesus is the Christ, and IF there is going to be a Judgement Day, you will be in big trouble. I really don't want a response from you, because you will, of course, play to your subscribers. I just would hope you would think this through. There have a been a lot of really intelligent scientists who believed in God (Isaac Newton, Albert Einstein, Max Planck etc) I am just saying, eternity is a long, long time. There will be no way out IF you are wrong and fail to come to Christ for the forgiveness of your sin. I know you said you were a Christian for a time, but I really question if you were born-again: filled with God's Holy Spirit. The Bible says in 1st John 2:19, " They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us." We are talking about the ETERNAL, ALL-POWERFUL, CREATOR of the universe. Who says, "Can the gods of the other nations (religions) tell you the future? No! They are mere lifeless idols." But I..." and then He proceeds to give us over one thousand prophecies in the Bible to demonstrate that God's word can be trusted. The Bible in the Old Testament predicted the Messiah would come from the tribe of Judah; Jesus was. The Bible predicted the Messiah would be born in Bethlehem; Jesus was. The Bible predicted the Messiah would be called a Nazarene; Jesus grew up in Nazareth. The Bible said the Messiah would be rejected by His own people; most Jews rejected Christ. The Bible said the Messiah would have his hands and feet pierced; it happened to Christ on the cross. (Do you think Jesus or his followers made this happen to fulfill prophecy, NO Rome decided how He would die) The Bible said the Messiah would be given vinegar; Jesus was given vinegar when He was hanging on the cross. The Bible said the Messiah would be buried in a rich man's tomb; Jesus was buried in the tomb of Joseph of Arimathea, who was very rich. The Bible said the Messiah would die a criminal's death; Jesus was crucified between two criminals. The Bible said The Messiah would NOT have any broken bones; it was customary for crucified individuals to have their bones broken to hasten death, but when they came to Jesus, He was already dead. The Bible said the Messiah would be despised; the mobs spit on Jesus and mocked Him on the cross. The Bible said the Messiah would be a light unto the Gentiles (non-Jews) the Jews, by and large do NOT believe in Jesus, it is Gentiles (non-Jews) around the world who worship the Jewish Messiah, Jesus. The Bible says Jerusalem "...kills the prophets." While Jesus was much more than just a prophet, He was killed in Jerusalem. The Bible said the Messiah would be from the lineage of King David; Jesus was. The Bible said the Messiah would be called from Egypt; the parents of the infant Jesus, took Him to Egypt, until they were told they could bring Him back; the King who wanted to kill Him had himself died. The Bible said the Messiah would have people gamble for His clothes; the soldiers at the crucifixion gambled for Jesus' cloak. The Bible said the Messiah would bring in a new covenant; Jesus did. His death on the cross, once for all did away with the need for the slaughtering of lambs at the Jewish temple. The Bible said the Messiah would come 483 years AFTER the decree to re-build the temple; Jesus made His triumphant entry into Jerusalem on the very day as predicted. The Bible said the Messiah would suffer; Jesus was beaten, had his beard ripped out of His face, and was brutally nailed to the cross. The Bible said the Messiah would be a prophet; Jesus predicted the destruction of the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem. The Bible said the Messiah would come riding on a donkey; Jesus did. The Bible said the Messiah would be betrayed for 30 pieces of silver; Judas Iscariot was given 30 pieces of silver for betraying Jesus. The Bible said the Messiah would be a willing sacrifice; Jesus willingly went to the cross, and even predicted His death in Jerusalem. The Bible said the Messiah would be proceeded by a messenger; Jesus was heralded by John the Baptist. The Bible said the Messiah would be descended from Abraham; Jesus was a descendant of Abraham. The Bible said the Messiah would be lifted up; Jesus was lifted up on the cross. The Bible said the Messiah would perform signs of healing; Jesus did. There are literally three HUNDRED prophecies fulfilled by Jesus. He also adds over one hundred scientific facts in scripture in all fields of science that were written down, thousands of years BEFORE the great scientists of the world would discover them. For example, up to a few hundred years ago surgeons used to wash their hands in basins of water, until they discovered it became a bowl of germs. They started using running water. The Bible instructed the use of running water thousands of years earlier. Soldiers used to die from disease, until they finally figured out to do their toilet business outside the camp. The Bible thousands of years before this, instructed the Israeli soldiers to take a small shovel outside the camp and bury their waste. Doctors used to drain blood (blood-letting) from sick patients, but thousands of years ago the Bible said, the life is in the blood. It wasn't until a couple hundred years ago, that oceanographers discovered mountains rising off the ocean floor, but the Bible thousands of years ago spoke of these mountains. The Bible says, "It is God who spreads out the stars." Astrophysicists now say the very fabric of space is spreading out taking the galaxies along for the ride. Up until about five hundred years ago, astronomers thought there was about 4,000-5,000 stars. But the Bible in Genesis compares the number of stars to the grains of sand along the seashore. Astronomers now say there are at least twice as many stars as sand on all the beaches of the world. Albert Einstein in his paper on relativity stated that matter, energy, space and time itself all had a beginning. But thousands of years earlier in Genesis chapter one the Bible says, "In the beginning (a reference to time having a beginning) God created the earth (matter) the heavens (space) and said let there be light (energy). I don't want to make this so long people won't read it, but you can go any Christian bookstore and find books on the hundreds and hundreds of fulfilled prophecies, in the Bible. There were 256 totally fulfilled prophecies concerning the birth, life, ministry, and death of Christ alone. So, God in HIS word has told of science thousands of years in advance of it being discovered by the great scientific minds of the world, He has spoken prophetic utterances that have come true, over and over again, in a literal, not metaphorical sense, again, to demonstrate His authority. He is God, we are His creation. This is His world, His universe. He is sovereign. Look, it's a great deal; surrender to His only means of forgiving our sins and reconciling ourselves to HIM, Christ dying on the cross, and reap eternal life, eternal peace, eternal health, and eternal joy. OR reject His offer of pardon and receive your just punishment. I choose Jesus Christ.

    1. Original sin - Every human has the ability to lie, cheat, steal, kill.. to say your little girl isn't going to sin is just naive. Soon she will be an adult. Jesus knows we all sin. The solution is to simply ask him by prayer to forgive your sins. Its not that hard and try to not sin again. The Lord knows we are not perfect like him. 2. Hell - it's basically a place that will separate you from God. You don't want anything to do with him so why doesn't God have the right to send you there? And forever? You will not live forever if not saved. That's why it's called being saved. He will simply destroy the spirit when the resurrection happens. You will not exist no more nor be in Hell. 3. Separation - If you wanna be close to sinners because it makes you feel good then do it. But Jesus never said to separate yourself from sinners. He says help the poor, love your enemies, care for one another. Who told you to separate yourself from your non Christian friends? If they have an issue with you being Christian but you don't have an issue with them not being a Christian then it means you just want to do the fun sinful things they get to do. Anyways prodigal son. Hopefully you'll return soon

The Bible says for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23. - Only Christ lived a perfect life - that’s why He and only He could become the propitiation for my sin and yours 1 John 2:2. What benefit is there to reject a free gift of salvation through Christ? Now will you lead your precious children away from the One who formed them in their mothers womb? We will all be held accountable - with all the mistakes I’ve made - know this, Jesus IS real, He did die for the sin of the world, He did rise from the grave and appear to hundreds, and He has promised to return. The signs of the times are revealing… do not let yourself be foiled by the lies from culture and political pressure…. Stand firm instead (Ephesians 6) - and allow the Spirit of Christ rein in your heart - Matthew 22:37.

What does "God" (Spirit, Love, "the Voice", etc.) tell NDErs over and over in response to the question: Which religion is correct? "Whichever religion brings you closest to me, i.e., closest to loving people. Including none at all."

I like what you said in hell. You said that God only gives us a little bit of time to get it right. Its true, because someone who hates God for the little time will hate Him for eternality. Someone who is obedient in little will be obedient with much. These are Jesus Christ actually words. When He spoke about the parable in i think Luke. Stewards parable. This is why it is so hard to maintain a connection to God in this life. Because of the way we must be tested. A spiritual heart stays consistent when its routed in honesty and good intentions. That is what God chooses when He uses people.

This idea is incredibly narrow minded and small. Curious of your age? The reason I ask is because the older you get the more you change (hopefully - no one wants a 30 year old acting like a 5 year - although we see it often) There have been things in life that I have hated at one point - and then after time, conversation, and more understanding I did something crazy... I changed my mind. Change is inevitable and good. I would even make the case that God created change. But only a narrow minded, petty, insecure god would hold people accountable for a few years of life compared to the eternity that god has been alive... or not alive... whatever god actually calls it? Life is complicated and big - that statement is simple and small.

I feel heartbroken that you felt being a Christian was so shackled and chained. You can do everything you do right now as a Christian. There is no restraint if you’re doing it from love and for love. We can’t change nobody but God can, and thank God he does.
