Interesting device. Does it measure accurately?
It is sold with a signed certification of accuracy, and matches the others I’ve used.
I consider myself kinda weak so i got the COC S last week thinkg it would work my way up and it was way to easy. So same day i got it i ordered a COC T thinking it would be hard and that one was easy too. I got 3 sets of 10 reps touching the ends each close right out of the package. Im going to order a no. 1 & 2 in a week or or so. I pretty confident I will be able to close a 1 right out of the package. I based my choice off of captain of crush video demoing them saying strong guys start with the trainer, most guys that lift weights can't close a 1 ect. So i went 1 size up to the S thinking if I can't do it i would just get the easiest one and id have one to work up too.
Awesome! It sounds like you have some natural ability. You’ll make gains fast. 🙏
I prefer tire irons or wrenches on sprocket bolts to slip and just rip the nerves off my knuckles 🤷♂️ 😂
🤣
deaden those nerves lol!
Definitely. 👍🏼
Nice video. I've got two of the heavy grippers myself, the 150 and the 200lbs. Then I ordered another set of golden grippers from temu, starting at 250lbs. They are only slightly wider than the heavy grippers, and don't appear to be as wide as the CoC grippers. Haven't been able to close any of them so far. This is my first time hearing that CoC is more difficult to close than CoC, though I knew CoC was the golden standard and I was wondering how they compared. Good to know the 250lbs is roughly equivalent to CoC nr2. I think the CoC grippers are overpriced. The heavy grippers were maybe half the price of CoC, and the golden grippers were a total bargain for what is essentially the same product. Just order thicker coils!
If it works for you, use it! I bought a $20.00 set of grippers and they work great. 👍🏼
Would you consider a video on how to start knuckle conditioning?
Sure! Good idea. Thank you. 🙏
Might have a hammer but can't fix stupid😂
But why? 😮
As a person learns to strike harder, there comes a point where the knuckles and wrists are the weak link. It’s a back and forth chase between knuckle condition, wrist strength, the ability to strike harder, back and forth as a person trains. Conditioning the knuckles assures that a person can hit with every ounce of power they can deliver, with reduced risk to the martial artist, without having to wrap the wrists.
Ive always thought about giving my door a couple punches a day for the same effect but this is definitely a little more manageable
I have a small steel plate I also use. Its use is posted in videos.
Aloha !!! For that Hawaiian Punch I take it ?if not whatevas! Aloha DSC777
Aloha! 🙏
Are you a knucklehead?
well done
Thank You! 🙏
If you wanted to keep the metal striking surface, they do make deadblow ball peen hammers- harbor freight has a few different weights- the lightest being 16oz. You might be able to find them online cheaper than $40
Thank you. I wanted the plastic as it is plenty hard, and easier to shape the corners for missed strikes. One of the problems I was running into with the old one was the speed I needed to generate a sufficient hit was so high that misses were getting dangerous; I took myself down a few times. I’m sure the HF hammers would be every bit as good for getting the job done.
You were definitely the kid in school that wanted to play bloody knuckles and would punch the wall when not mad. I think I'm scared of you.
That is really interesting. 🧐 I hadn’t thought about Bloody Knuckles since I was a kid, and you are correct. I never lost. Hmmmm. Thank’s for the good memory!
But why?
Came here for the exact same comment
what he's doing is conditioning his knuckles that's why they look the way they do. he can punch a lot of shit that would normally fuck your hand up that is why you do this. so when you really hit someone its like a fucking brick.
At a certain point in training a person can learn to generate way more power than their knuckles and wrists can handle (why boxers wrap their wrists). Conditioning strengthens the knuckles, hands, wrists, and forearms to where full power strikes can be delivered with no damage to the practitioner. The greatest tool God gave our brains is our hands, and everyone knows how important it is to keep tools sharp and ready.

Wow, had no idea people do that
That is exactly it. 👍🏼
I got a pair of these when a wizard cast tungsten balls on me
😂 I’ve only recently started using them regularly, as I was still focused on working the copper 2” ball. These definitely give a better workout! I’ve ordered some 3.5” solid steel balls that will be here next month. I’ll post a video after they arrive.
CONGRATULATIONS. THAT'S BEAUTIFUL😍
Thank you. Declan is a true craftsman!
I can look at the COC grips 100 times but I see no difference between the sides as shown in min 3:20.
When you get to closing high weights at high reps, you’ll notice the difference without having to look. The gripper will want to twist out of your hand, instead of into it. Look between the top of the grip and the first coil. One side will be slightly more straight.
@@AtHomeTacticalDefense Thank you for the answer. The straight coil is by the thumb, right? If the handle side is so important, a marking would be much easier to see. Channel is subscribed.
Nice!
Thank you! Cheers! 🙏
I like the way he controls drunk uncle Bob and takes him down without injury.
Definitely! 👍🏼
This is good advice to give people. Concentration of power rather than pushing weight.
Thank you. 🙏
Nice rendition of Fau Yip!
Thank you, Larry. 🙏
Way to go Sifu Toby!
Thank you. I’ve backslid a bit since that max, but it’ll come back. Always training!
Nicely done!
Thanks!
Awesome job, boys. Congratulations on your Yellow belts in Judo and your Purple belt in Kajukenbo..
Thank you! 🙏
So cool you get to bring them up into this from the beginning.
Thank you, John. It was a special day.
Keep it up little bros ignore the haters , keep working . You guys got this .
Thank you. 🙏. The internet experts love to Seagull what they don’t understand. It’s expected. 🤪😂
Wow. You call an important judo and Jitz move a “monkey roll.” I’m sure the training is top notch.
The name comes from the Kung Fu lineage in Kajukenbo. We’ll be posting plenty more for your critique. Thank you. 🙏
@@AtHomeTacticalDefense it’s a Zenpo Ukemi. Zero critique. You can say gravity is a King Fu move. MMA debunked all of your BS. It’s a Judo/Jiu-Jitsu breakfall. You wouldn’t ever compete against a BJJ or MMA fighter. Zero critique. You’d get murdered using your American named King Fu.
Keep grinding
Thank You! 🙏
Nerds
Most definitely! 👍🏼
Get them som mats, good lord
The mats and mat room can be seen in the video. The kids love to roll on the hard surface.
How do I apply this in a back alley filled with broken glass?
Don’t get taken to the ground, and don’t fall down. Grappling and ground techniques come into play when all else has failed.
@@AtHomeTacticalDefense as the first UFC have shown us. Royce took everyone down with zero fails, right off the bat.
😂 Are you arguing that since arguably the best ground fighter in the world took down hand picked competition, that everyone should throw out stand up training? You pull guard don’t you?
@@AtHomeTacticalDefense you’re saying grappling and ground techniques come into play when all else fails. That’s 100% wrong. Royce. Khabib. Rickson. I have pro MMA experience. Amateur MMA experience. Amateur boxing experience. Over 100 BJJ matches. I’d wrather take someone down and choke them over hurting my hands punching them. BTW. I’ve never pulled guard in my life. LOL. YOU renamed a break fall for no reason.
It us good
😊🙏

Spiders and I are sworn mortal enemies. There can be only one.
Where did you get the yellow clips?
They are repurposed salt cartridges from Bug-A-Salt. They work great with bb’s and felt cleaning pellets.
@@AtHomeTacticalDefense Thank you, they work with bb's & salt, but not pellets, correct?
They work fine with some pellets. Some are too loose, and some are too tight, but with a little experimentation you’ll find some you like.
You are stronger than you look to be! I have all CoC except from #3,5. My next goal is to close #1,5 and will be satisfied if I ever close #2. Just a tip: lubricate the springs! You not only get rid of the annoying squeakiness but also get better training efficiency and protect the spring from rust and mechanical worn.
Thanks!🙏
Cool, never saw this kind of training..😊
I figure our hands are our greatest tool. The more skills I train with my hands, the sharper my tool will be. Thank you for watching.
Love your channel
Bought,100,150,200lbs off Amazon Arrival tomorrow. I've been building up with puddy, store grippers and finger webs. I MAY be able to close the 200. I'll write back with results.
Please do and good luck. Thank you for the kind words. 🙏
Thanks for very good video, you are the first who explain the sides I have to hold gripper. Also thank you for your English, because sometimes very difficult understand other people, but your English is easy to understand
Thank you for the kind words. Glad to help!
Update: after watching this video, I ordered a stick from Declan Casey myself and it just arrived a few days ago. It's beautiful! Looks just like this one here!
He is, in my opinion, far and away the best custom Shillelagh maker in the world. Enjoy your little piece of history. 🙏
I'm 36 I worked with my hands. I've been in management the last 3 years. My hands would go numb while commuting 4 hours. I tried an adjustable 10kg to 40kg adjustable gripper instantly max'd out. After trying this I noticed I gained allot of strength and ordered an adjustable up to 265 lb $20 gripper. I can get good pulls at the max adjustment. I just ordered the coc no. 2.5 237lb it arrives in two days. I wonder how I'll do, btw no more numbness.
That is great. Please post back when you get your gripper.
@AtHomeTacticalDefense I was unable to close the 2.5. I got within a half an inch. I will work at getting them to close.
I was closing the 2.5 about once per week, but recently I’ve backslid a bit for some unknown reason. I’m sure it’ll come back strong soon. Might have been a bit of overtraining.
Good Job, Sir! Mine BIMS BASELINE is stuck somewhere in the US at the moment. Just can't wait to get it.
Hope you enjoy it! 🙏
Grippers are optimised for right hands. Ironmind make left-hand versions but they dont come in .5 increments. I just got the number 2 in the post this week and I closed it no problem with my right. With my left though, I needed about 3mm to close it. I'm pretty sure they are equal in strength because of the way gripper coils are positioned for right hands but I think i'll get the left-hand version of the #2 to make sure and train each hand equally. By the way, you should oil your coils. Thanks for the vid.
The IronMind Left Turn grippers are a solution looking for a problem. The standard grip trainers work fine in either hand.
U are good at bow and arrow
Thank you for the kind words. 🙏
U can do a lot of stuff
U can go so far and good
U have a good game
