  I hardly ever use the provided salt sachet on these crisps, and instead save them for occasional use in dishes. I personally just find the simplistic flavour of these crisps when unsalted to be super satisfying anyway.

  The machine they tried to play "Heaven Can Wait" on, actually, destroyed its tape completely; this forced BBC One to show a backup film ("Timescape" a.k.a. "Grand Tour: Disaster in Time"), instead, and reschedule "Heaven Can Wait" for next Tuesday (27 August 1996) instead.

  Well, it is just SOOOOO easy to see that all British TV channels in the United Kingdom just really don't do anything like this anymore BECAUSE they now broadcast both regular and paid programming around the clock, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Yep. All broadcasting reguations in the country have all since been relaxed to allow it to just permanently happen.

  Very nice and a good rendition of Pet Shop Boys 'Suburbia'. Spent many happy hours tinkering in AMOS back in the day and more recently trying out AOZ with its AMOS compatibility.

  What a lovely production. Can you remember what image format and dimensions you’re using for the photographic images? The quality looks excellent. I’m playing around with making my own basic slideshow for the forthcoming Amiga Kickstart event but am struggling to find a screen resolution and format that looks good and AMOS is happy with.

  Hi Robert, The images are 640 x 256 if I remember correctly, 16 colour Hires. They were scanned from magazines with the Digiview gold setup, using a b&w camera and a colour wheel

  @@techmailbox2400 Thank you. Incredible that they’re only 16 colour. I’ll have a go at converting some images in Photogenics to that format this evening. Will let you know how I get on. I thought it would be fun to have a slideshow showing recent SWAG photos at the event.

  These are two different bugs in AMOS After the loop ends in the first example, jumping back inside the loop causes a crash because it does not know where to jump back to when it hits the next f bit, so as this is not trapped when running, the system just crashes The second example is that when you have too many characters on the line and it tries to parse it, it can’t handle it so crashes

  I compare the situation like a duck on the water, up above, the bit you can see is the duck floating on water, but behind the scenes, under the water the duck is paddling like f•ck and getting nowhere.

  Hi, thanks for your comment, you may be right, I get the dates based on what TV programs are shown around the adverts, which gives an appropriate date of that particular showing, so any dates I give are approximate :-)

  I guess there was a problem with the film, because the BBC were able to show us Timescape instead. And they probably tried different projectors to try and show the film, but nothing. Then again, Timescape was first released on video, so it could be a problem with the projectors...

  I know it's been 2 years, but apparently, the machine ATE the tape and destroyed it. They had to frantically get a backup movie.
