The natural feed of bees is NOT honey, it is NECTAR. The closest thing to that is weak sugar syrup (1.3:1) using ONLY pure table sugar.

Can I put frames with dead brood back to some colony which is alive and weak? Or should I just put them into some strong colony or not even that?

So what do you do if you installed 3 packages right next to each other and they drift and one hive has 70% the second has 25% and the third has 5%? how do you fix this?

This dingdong is wrong wrong wrong! What he was calling capped over honey was actually brood and what he was calling honey was actually uncapped honey. The On honey looks much whiter then brood does.

rebuilding the comb you scrapped out will be more work than just cleaning it would have been for them.

I wonder, does the direction that the entrances face, have anything to do with that entrance being used, or not used? Upper entrance facing west... lower entrance facing west, as opposed to these entrances facing south, east, north. Are any of these combinations used more, or less? I know you mentioned wind can be a factor. That is only logical. But I have to wonder if bee colonies have a preference for entrances facing a certain direction.

In the spots you scraped should you melt some wax and brush it on those spots or will the bees build it up anyways?

That is rediculously unnecessary, that amount of cleaning is nothing for the next hive to clean, and by the way that hive died from th cluster got too small to create enough heat and they died from exposer not starvation

You can also brush out the bees and freeze the frame to make sure the bacteria and varoa eggs are dead and let the bees clean it up in the spring
