Andy..I have to compliment you on the bikes you sell...they are beautiful and meticulously repaired/updated, the only place I have ever seen classic bikes that good was in the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham.

The side panels are not the original colour as they were the same colour as the tank. And it's a 1971 tank, not the 72 tank

The proper way to stop it is to use the valve lifter (decompression) lever on the left handlebar. Nice Panther, the proper P&M sidecar chassis must make it more desirable.

I have a 1968 (F) CD175 in the same Neptune blue colour which I bought off an old guy for £1000. With only 8000 miles on the odometer it is in super condition and very reliable. This is another winner from Honda.

I think I restored that about nine years ago for a bloke in Harrogate. It was featured in Clasic Motorcycle Mechanics at the time. It might be a different one, but I don't think it is. There aren't that many of them about.

In 1962 I was a teenager having recently past my motorcycle test and was looking for a larger bike when I came across a Vincent Comet in a bike shop where Lived Blackpool. The asking price was 99 Guinness (£103.95p) I looked, pondered and thought to myself and decided, no, i'll go buy a new bike for just a bit more. If only in retrospect

They certainly do go well and seem to be somewhat underappreciated as such. Unfortunately they seem to live in the shadow of the lucrative Model 90 when it comes to magazine articles and marque histories, even from the Marston club itself. My nearly identical to the video 9 will sit on 55-60mph all day and top out at 80 on a 1/4 mile straight, it easily keeps up with modern traffic and outperforms plenty of later big singles.

When I was 17 years old I had a 199cc Triumph Tiger Cub which had a dodgy connection on the rear light. I was heading home after being out on an evening ride when I was spotted by a pair of plods in a Morris 1000 ( unbeknown to me at the time) who decided to try and get me for a defective rear light. I was about 15 miles from home and just rode at a spirited pace along a good stretch of twisty roads (as a 17 year old lad would do). The plods had no chance of catching me on the way home. As soon as I parked the Tiger Cub round the side of my parents house, I noticed the rear light was off. I gave the light unit a tap and it lit up. So I switched the bike off and covered it with a tarpaulin sheet and went indoors. A few minutes later , there was a big fisted knock at my parents door which my father went and answered. It was the 2 plods and they told my father they had tried to follow me because I had no rear light showing on my bike. My father , myself and the 2 plods then went out to my bike, I pulled the tarp off and switched the Tiger Cub on and lo and behold , the rear light was on. The plods, looking red faced, sheepishly told my father to instruct me on how to ride at a more sensible pace in future. my father and I both found this highly amusing after the plods drove off in their Morris 1000, father didn't have a lot of time for plod. 🤣🤣🤣 I am now 70 years old and I wish I still had that Tiger Cub, it was a good little bike.
