Krari The Crow

Krari The Crow

This is the KZread channel for the hooded crows Krari, Kruu and their offspring.
They are wild crows living in Germany.

Crows are highly intelligent, social birds, which unfortunately sometimes still have a bad reputation. We want to change that!
For us crows are friends with wings. We want to show you the joy these fascinating birds can bring into your life.

And: Birds belong in the sky, please let them be free. They do not deserve to be in cages or other forms of captivity.

    The male "knocking" call....is it for mating or warning or just a form of locating others

  • @KrariTheCrow
    @KrariTheCrow12 сағат бұрын

    I do not know the exact meaning. I hear it mainly during mating season. It is sometimes used as a greeting between the male and the female. Krari uses it to ask me for food.

    It’s not often I see an Orange Flame point cat exactly like my cat Buddha. Then I see you have a Black Short Hair (Boo) too and a crow buddy! My Crow brings its family to visit and “meows and coos”

    I remember that we had young crows in our garden. They were learning to fly and their parents were always watching them to protect them from predators. We had a cat. And not just any average house cat but a Maine Coon. One night she tried to hunt the young crows but she returned with a large wound on her neck. I knew that a crow can be dangerous to cats, but a Maine Coon? Crows are impressive birds.

    Meine Krähen warten schon auf mich und meinen Hund und bekommen dann eine Handvoll Hundetrockenfutter ( Mais mit Ente ) . Sie begleiten uns dann bis an's Ende ihres Revieres und bekommen in der Zeit noch 3 - 4 mal ein Häufchen Futter eingestreut ! Sie sammeln es auf , fliegen weg und sind nach kurzer Zeit wieder da . Meinen Hund stören die schwarzen Gesellen nicht mehr ! Er kennt sie und sie ihn ! I h freu mich auf jede Begegnung !

    i found a baby crow below a mango tree yesterday here in the philippines. i watched for an hour and noticed the young crow has not learned to fly. no parent crows around. it was almost dark and thought the best thing was to leave and come back today. i went there at daybreak and the crow was still there. still no mama or papa. after i waited an hour or so i approached the crow. the bird was not afraid and let me pick it up. on the way home the little crow was already sitting on my arm. i put the crow into a very large metal wire cage and lashed it into the branches of a sturdy tree in the shade. put some water and a bowl of fruit, nuts and some dead bugs in the cage. went back into the house. a couple of hours later i heard lots of loud cawing noises. it was mom and dad. the baby is unable to fly and the parents are stiil making lots of talk. i want to put the little one on the ground but i have many dogs and cats very close by. i'm a long ways from any animal shelter help where i live. if anybody has any advice, i could use it.... thanks👍

    First of all, thank you for caring for this young bird! You really tried to do the right thing. It is normal for little crows to come out of the nest and sit somewhere. The parents are near by and will feed the little fledgling, even if you didn't see them. They can't yet eat on their own you have to put the food into his mouth. I would bring the bird back to where you found it or contact an animal rescue service.

    Auch Knochen funktionieren als Futter. ,,Meine" Krähe nimmt große Truthahn Flügel und Beine mit. Wo ein Mensch kein Fleisch mehr erkennen kann, sieht die Krähe immer noch ausreichend. Außerdem dienen auch die Würmer , oder Maden, als Nahrungsmittel die auf Fleischresten entstehen. Nüsse sind für sie mehr eine Reserve. So wie auch ein Resus Affen, können Krähen Vorgänge miteinander verbinden. (Bsp.: Man schaltet mit einer Fernbedienung etwas ein. Die Krähe versteht dies.) Ich mag Krähen 🙂.

    Super! Vielen Dank vor allem für den Tipp die Krähen nicht direkt anzuschauen! Ich füttere seit 2 Jahren Erdnüsse - aber heute hat eine meiner regelmäßigen Besucherinnen zum ersten Mal Nüsse angenommen, während ich noch im Fenster stand. Das haben sie sich nie getraut, wenn ich sie angeschaut habe! Super Video!!!

    Hast Du alles sehr gut erklärt, auch ich hatte viel Geduld und habe nun ein Krähen Paar als Freunde, die fast immer zur selben Zeit zum "Futterplatz" kommen ....ABER und das ist wichtig, ich gebe ihnen nicht jeden Tag etwas, da sie auch weiterhin natürliches futter suchen sollen!

  • @KrariTheCrow
    @KrariTheCrow10 күн бұрын

    Ja das ist wichtig.. Aus diesem Grund würde ich auch nur eine Handvoll Futter am Tag geben. So müssen sie auch weiter nach Futter suchen.

    Great video! It's 'only' been 3 years since I have started trying to befriend the crows in my local park. It's been a great honestly! I love it when they hang around with me on quiet days in the park, but I honestly felt that they felt frustrated on more crowded days. I guess this gives me a little bit more insight in their way of thinking. Thank you for the videos!
