    If ure car is to low to get under , i reckon one of them strong magnets you see on magnet fishing could move the latch over to release it

    I would say that if you hear the motor, the next thing to do is to see if the wipers the linkage is disconnected..

    the other possibility is that the wiper arms (which are typically tightened down via nuts) have gotten loose.... but it would be odd for them BOTH to be loose at the same time.

    Here we are. Two years later and we are still struggling with this enigma. I replaced the wiper switch because it was broken and could not get the front wipers to work. Thank you very much for wonderful instructive video.

    Any update on 7/4/2024? My fathers Forester is showing signs of the same noise but I haven’t gotten around to driving it much. Looking for somewhere to start.

    It's still noisy but otherwise runs fine! At some point, I would like to get this noise resolved.... I will repost if anything new happens!!!!

    This worked for me once then the next time the cable came loose at the latch but I got it by taking short screw driver and getting in-between the latch and it popped luckily

    This should work if either end of the cable comes loose!

    My Lhasa makes the same noise occasionally. I did not connect it, but we lived across the street from a fire station for 5 years. We recently moved and now it is more frequent.

    My speed don’t work, tac doesn’t work kinda tweaks out .. but my temp gauge still goes half way.. would this be the speed sensor?

    I think it very well could be. The temp guage is quite seperate

    Also, you need to get the correct igniter, so take off the old one and see what the numbers are.... then you can google it and buy online.

    Hi I have my polo playa the problem is my speedometer is not working and I buy the new one so when I plug it on the car is starting but won't move but when I take it out the switch the vehicle is moving

    What a nightmare job . I just hooked it up backwards under the hood . I have no heat in the car .. but the car doesn’t over heat anymore or leak antifreeze .

    I am just wondering if you could find a place to go through the firewall... you could put huge extension hoses and just have the heater core sitting on the floor of the passenger side!!! (maybe with a fan behind it!!!

    Good luck.... it seems to me that you want to work backwards from the lights.....and find out where the voltage is coming from... if worse comes to worse, you could cut the wire and put a toggle switch in.... you'd just have to remember to flip the switch after stopping the car...

    if you have this issue on a 5MT it's likely the 4 transmission bearing in the center diff area

    It must be under the cowling near the windshield, since it moves the wipers!!!!

    ​@@amcrae1 the fastest speed setting for my windshield wipers is the only mode that functions. the intermittent, and other intervals do not. do you think this is an issue with the motor or the relay switch?

    Thanks for the video , quick question. I know the inlet hose to the heater matrix stems from the head but where does the outlet connect to. Asking because I bought the car with the heater completely closed off so I assume the matrix is damaged. TIA

    OK... one hose, as you said, runs to a fitting on the side of the head... the other hose..... goes to a metal line... that crosses in front of the engine and then plunges down near the oil filter to a multiple hose connector off the back of the water pump!!!!

    Check the egr for leaks too this can cause an under boosting

    The 2.0t does not have EGR. Only the tdi does.
