I loved the time Daniel trolled them by playing the theme to "The Young and the Restless" on his laptop and said their love life was a Telenovela. I screamed. 😅😅😅

I’m sorry I’m still pissed they waited until Anne Rice died and then shit all over her and her books, she wanted to make a series from her books but not like this, this is nothing like her books.

Very creative adaptation --- vampires are immortal (mostly) & Louis & Lestat would be alive at this time in history. Series incorporates social realities of racism & sexism. Focus on the gay relationship is just that - a zoom lens. Read the book folks. Vampires are not necessarily gender (or species) selective regarding their dinner. Louis & Lestat's bond was SO multifaceted: sometime lovers, mentor-mentee, father-son, brothers, side -kick, enemies, etc. Understand some more conservative viewers would despise the gay relationship as the series' main driver. BUT that tells me you didn’t read the book. Or any of Rice's other books! They would blow you away!!!😅 This whole "woke" thing is ridiculous-- used for any & everything from clothing to textbooks! Stop it! To be awake is to be aware of what's around you; not comatose. It's a compliment, not an insult. And just demonstrates ignorance -- including the very word itself. BTW, Anne Rice's son wrote the pilot.

I honestly prefer the movie. The movie doesn't focus too much on Lestat and Louis' relationship, but rather hits at it being one-sided and often not romantic at all. Movie Louis hates Lestat and Lestat loves Louis, here it's more overt that they're lovers.

Wow this story is completely unrecognizable from the masterpiece that was the novel. Thank you woke culture for ruining yet another aspect of American life. That’s ok there will be an accounting for everything they do. No one gets away with anything in this life, what goes around comes around. Life is a circle and what they’ve done will come back to them in spades I just hope I’m alive to see it

@@madamabelladonna3704 There was absolutely no need to make Louis and Claudia black they were all French in the book. French as in white and in todays society anything white is automatically deemed evil and wrong. They purposely changed the race of two main characters in order to make the show more palatable to the woke audience who would’ve been appalled by a predominantly white cast of actors. They mutilated the story to be politically correct that’s what makes it woke. I seek no credibility with ppl I do not know or will never meet. Your approval holds no importance to me I’d be more eager to have approval from a wet carrot.

Love how when people mention the obvious changes to the main characters they play dumb and ask “what u mean?!?” Then u answer and accuse u of something. That’s what makes it woke. This show is trash. They ruined Anne rice book. That’s not Louis that’s not Lestat that’s not Claudia as the book explained. Make a beef stew take out the beef add chicken still trying to call it beef stew but better beef stew is as dumb as it sound OP of comment is right rest y’all bugging

Yes, Anne Rice was involved in the production of the 2020 "Interview with the Vampire" series, which is based on her novel of the same name. However, she passed away in 2021 at the age of 80, before the series aired.

@@user-nw2me9sl4f Lol. I was a published horror author. I specialized in vampires, and later what was called by many as "the most realistic and detailed zombie series" anyone had read. I read interview and body thief. People used to be amazed when I pointed out how intensely homosexual the books were. But what I saw here takes it to a whole new level of gay. Honestly I don't know one horror fan who admits to reading her stuff.
