Next time I go out there I absolutely have to check out the antique car museum! That space underground makes me nervous lol.
You guys went on a good day! Doesn’t look too crowded.
The flea market has been a joke for the last 30 years and getting worse every year now. China made crap and less and less vendors. The Wednesday auction is the only reason to go. Been going there for the last 45+ years.
Seems there is now a “instagram path” now to get to the largest pie pan. I had to fight my way past that brush in my day. 😂
Definitely a path now. 😄
Hard to believe it started as a fruit stand, isn't it?
Jim Bonaminio is a bit of a magpie. If he thinks it's interesting and it's available, he will buy it and put it at his stores (there are two). The monorail was part of the Kings Island Safari that ran the late '80s or early '90s. I'm not sure when it ended. But when they stopped doing their animal safari, he bought the monorail. If I remember correctly, there should still be three sections of seats that look like they came from a stadium - a section of green, a section of blue, and a section of red. Those all came from the old Riverfront stadium, the shared venue for the Bengals and the Reds. Coney Island was, until very recently, an amusement park here, southeast of town down by the river. They sold quite a few of their rides to Kings Island forever ago but others they kept until they started shutting down rides, and when they shut down rides Jim was one of the people who bought them. That place is dangerous, even with a list. It is fortunately too far away for me to shop there regularly, but it's not too far from my parents house, so every time I go see them or my sister's it's always a risk. 😏
I'm not sure if I should be jealous or be happy for you. Close enough to visit occasionally would be great. We have something here in Lansing Michigan that is similar but much, much smaller. I did a video on it about a year and a half ago it's called Horrocks.
I am going to see the fort today and I’m riding gatekeeper
Gatekeeper, Valrvn, Maverick and Steel Vengeance are my favorites. I think Maverick might be my top favorite because of its speed and quick turns.
FYI, The building out back called Oscar Station is very much used! It's a great bar and party area that is open at various times.
I live near Cincinnati and have often shopped at Jungle Jim's but I have never seen most of the stuff in the first part of the video because I usually head straight for the deli and cheese section, then the meat, produce, and international groceries. It's a great place for unusual items when you cook adventurously.
I'd be in big trouble if I lived close to this place. I spent almost $200 and none of that was perishable items! Amazing store.
@@youradventurecompass take a list and get a shopping basket instead of a cart 😂. And eat before you go.
Skyline is my absolute favorite. I grew up Cincinnati before moving to Michigan as a teenager. Whenever I get back to the area, skyline chili is a must stop.
@@andrewmosier6498 I like it. It's unique compared to others. My wife and daughter are not so big on it.
$100 a day for a golf cart is a great deal.
The Monorail came from Kings Island from the late 70's to mid to late 80's and Jungle Jim's bought it and has never been run on there property
@@slagcat Thanks for the info! I was going off info from another vlogger and the video on the jungle Jim's website
@@youradventurecompass Jungle Jim's has a lot of neat thing there are two stores. 👍
Don't go on a Saturday night. It's filled with 20 somethings who come over to get massively drunk and obnoxious. It's a Go-To place for Bachelorette parties. They all walk around..really drunk and screaming their "Whooo-Whooo" war cries, while the bride carries a 2 foot inflatable penises....or penis squirt guns and shooting people. The guys get so drunk their vocabulary is down to '[email protected]"...and not much else.
If you eat at the boathouse for lunch, and sit on the patio, make sure not to be on the carousel side. The same song plays non stop for hours. Gets old really quick
Great tip! We ate inside because it was so hot that day and at least they had fans inside.
Great video keep it up
Congratulations I'm so happy for you. You're very consistent in your content's good. I appreciate any KZreadr from Michigan
Thanks so much! This is only going to lead to more and better content as my ad revenue increases.
We always do Tofts after Cedar Point! Best way to end the day!
Monarchs are naturally present in Ohio
Wish Seoul Garden was around when I went to U of M, looks like you really get a lot for your money. Here in California you're lucky if you even get HALF those meat portions and it's still VERY expensive here for Korean BBQ. Never mind a big plate of salad, we don't get that here with any meal. In Michigan you still get much more for your bucks. Nice vid
@@liw8718 Yes, big portions and very good.
I wonder why they always call these places, "AFRICAN Wildlife Safari," when they have animals from Australia (emu, kangaroo), North America, & maybe elsewhere. It's a bit misleading for people who might think all these animals are native to Africa, when they are from entirely different continents.
Good question! They did have giraffes, so maybe that's why? I saw a LOT of buffalo, so maybe more American than anything, but "American Safari" probably doesn't draw as big of a crowd. 🤣
@@youradventurecompass They had zebras, camels, various monkeys, etc., which were not North American, either. I just wonder why they don't just called themselves "Wildlife Safari" or some variation on that. I suspect that people just associate wildlife with Africa because of the iconic megafauna on that continent so places just use that name. Still, if they'd called themselves, "Ohio Wildlife Safari," no one would be expecting native Ohio wildlife like flying squirrels or hoary bats. They'd be expecting larger, more exotic animals because of the word, "safari".
I wonder if Put n Bay still has the two lane Bowling Alley at the Old Hotel. The smallest commercial bowling alley I've ever seen.🗽🏁
This sounds vaguely familiar. I don't remember seeing it, but maybe I read that somewhere.
Put n Bay sure has commercialized since the 70's . Used to just have the Round House, Patio Chicken BBQ,Frosty's, The Gay 90's Hotel and a couple quarter Arcades.And. the summer holidays and wine festivals, Look Out.
The popcorn 🍿 cart looks like one that used to park in downtown Sandusky in the 1960's and 70's.I think that one was horse drawn at one time.
Some childhood friends and myself got stranded on Put n Bay for three days and two nights.Took off from Port Clinton for a few hours of fishing with a loaf of bread and a pack of Ham.The fish weren't biting so we headed to Put n Bay and a storm blew in.We didn't have a dime between us and couldn't bum a Nichol.Sunday we made it back with the Twin's Father's eighteen foot Reinell Rental Boat.Just Um
Would've been nice to see what was happening inside of the camper during the storm.
Was hard to film with the low light and a bit of panic setting in.
I went there recently, I got the rainbow sherbet and it was huge! And delicious!
I know, they give you SO much! Lots of great flavors too.
Lovely, what about the helicopter ride? Where can you find it?
I don't know for sure. I'm guessing at the airport. More to see on the ground there.
@@youradventurecompass you're right thank you!
The sight seeing helicopter tour operates out of the airport. If you take the same ferry he did, you will drive right past it on your way into town.
new friend
This video gets me excited every time I go to koa wich is every year
This is probably the worst buffet in Las Vegas! I went there for my birthday and starting from the Caesar salad on up was terrible! I wasted $100 there for me and my wife and her son. I tried to talk to the manager. They did nothing about it. Their food is absolute garbage. I suggest for anybody reading this to never go there!!!
This was recorded in 2023 and it was pretty decent. Going in before 4 pm gets you the lunch price (less than $20 for dinner if you walk in at 3:45). I did go once again in 2024 and it was night and day. I was not impressed and the prices went up.
This is the best video about Cedar Point shores I've seen yet
I have been going since 2018 me and my family live GOO NOW
So happy to see jollibee's in Michigan that means it's getting closer to Ohio can't wait🎉
That's like me hearing about Bucees coming to OH and hoping it will make it up to MI. 👍
I live just west of Shipshewana. I don't go anymore as most of the items are junk from China ! It used to be a great flea market years ago. Not worth paying entry fee to me.
It's not for everyone, but another thing to keep in mind is that pretty much everything is made in China these days.
They use banana ketchup for the sauce not Italian seasonings
I just saw that in the store a week ago. If I hadn't, I'd have no clue what you're talking about. 😂
They have qual eggs at royal pot
Man the royal pot is my favorite restaurant in Lansing
Coffee maker in bathroom gross 🤮
I don't use them anymore either. I bring my own portable hot water kettle, instant coffee and use bottled water.
Gravy is to dip chicken in. If you get mashed potatoes you can use it for that too. Spaghetti is sweet sauce. Filipinos dont like Italian style spaghetti sauce. It seems acidic to them. Good that you didn't get banana ketchup for your french fries 😁
I love this video and I love koa
You should try the real adobo food to understand the taste of the adobo rice
I like to visite this garden it's very beautuful❤
Thanks
Anybody is better than KFC these days
Great video! I will be staying in a cabin there later this month, and your video was very helpful :)
The Deli also..
I ate at the deli the day I left in 2023 and it was so bad I threw away half of the corned beef sandwich. It was about 80% fat and gristle. I tried it again this year and what a world of difference! It was excellent. That's the only reason I didn't include it last year.
F China
What month did you go?
February, just after the actual day of celebration. I was there for a week, came back sick with a ton of work to do and have several other Vegas videos to go, but wanted to get this one out as soon as I could.
It's NOT Chinese new year!!! It's Lunar New Year!
Per Google, the terms are 100% interchangeable. I researched it before using the title.
Looks like an awesome party you're taking me back to the day when I was in college at Eastern Michigan University
