  I have an identically equipped 745d only with a black interior. 2006. currently 342 tk. A fantastic car. It will stay in my collection until the end. I change the oil in the engine every 10 thousand kilometers (Millers 5w40 c3), in the gearbox every 40 thousand kilometers (Ravenol 6hp)

  Oh wow. I admit, I let the car decide when to change the engine oil. Usually between 25-30tkm🙈. Transmission service with oil flush was done by ZF at about 250tkm. But had no problems before but Shifting operations seemed a bit "softer" to me afterwards. I will have it done again by the end of the year (mileage now 515000). Differential oil has never been changed🙈, but I will have it done soon. Up to now i can't hear my differential.... Do i really have one? 🤔😂😂😂

  @@whotookfrosty I recommend 75w90 oil for the differential. I fill mine with Millers Trx Synth 75w90 - change every 30-40 thousand km. from what you write, you change oil very rarely, and yet the car runs great. this just proves how durable these cars are. I have 6 cars in my collection, but this BMW 745d will stay with me forever. They don't produce cars like this anymore.

  @@iirouussaari1803 yes. Had to replace only little stuff engine related like thermostat/waterpump/glow plugs...

  Oh and had to replace the intake air manifold mechanism. Fell apart between 200-300tkm

  @@whotookfrosty great to hear that no problems with camshaft or vacuum pump etc. Water pump and glow plugs are quite simple and normal maitenance, camshafts are not that🤣

  Bin lange Zeit einen e61 530d gefahren. Der ging dann kaputt. Habe mir dann was "vernünftiges" gekauft und einen kleinen einser E81 116i 2l gekauft. Bin nun über den 745d gestolpert. Da ich ein Perfektionist bin und mich bei den neuen Modellen dieses billige Tchiboplastik stört aber auch der Frontschiebenwischer vom Beifahrer, welcher nicht ganz in die Ecke kommt, weil man an einem Gelenkt gegeizt hat... Ich habe nun was auf der Wunschliste, lieber Gesangsverein!

  Moin 🤗. Bin gestern grad nach Portugal in Urlaub gefahren bzw. gestern angekommen. . Tacho steht jetzt bei 459000 und endlich wieder fernsehgucken (dvbt wurd ja bei uns abbgeschaltet)🙄.... Auch wenn ich kaum was verstehe. 🙈😂

  Und immer noch zufrieden mit dem Drehmoment Bär? :D fahre im Alltag derzeit einen e38 735i und bin am überlegen ob ich mir den als nächstes hole, im Internet liest man häufig von Problemen aber du wirkst sehr zufrieden mit deiner alten Dame 😅

  Hi! Did you change the gearbox oil and timing chain? I bought a 2004 730d 218 hp and I am a bit worried because none of those were changed in 350.000 km...

  Hi, i changed gearbox oil at around 300.000km (ZF service center did it). Had no complaints before but shifting was a little bit smoother after it. So yes i would do it. Regarding timing chain, no, did nothing with it. And i heard almost nothing regarding chain problems with my engine. But you have a different one🤔

  @@villepekkala yep you're right, had an e61 535d before that current e65 ( after e39 530d). Sold the e61 with around 300000km 😋.... Imo All M57 variants are great engines
