Through my KZread channel, I aim to share my knowledge and love for cats with the world. I strive to create informative and engaging content that covers a wide range of topics, from cat care and nutrition to behavior and training.

Whether you are a seasoned cat owner or just starting out on your cat journey, my channel is the perfect place for you. So join me as we explore the wonderful world of cats together and learn more about these amazing creatures.

I got a black cat during the covid pandemic Really helped my loneliness She hid from me for a week Previous owner came over and she immediately came out from hiding Massaged her when she went into heat and comforting her when she was spayed Then brought her a tabby so she could have a playmate Today they are both sleeping right next to me when I am home if they aren’t on top of me Getting Slate and Rosie was one of the healthiest decisions I made for my mental health Learned how to care for somebody other than myself

Not just people. We lost our cat Neutron last August to colon cancer. His brother Proton remained in mourning until about a month ago. They had been inseparable friends and playmates for 12 years. And, I can tell he still misses him

A person who used the term "owner" for a cat clearly has no clues about cats or even animals. Animals are beings and not cars, they cannot be owned. Most of what you said in your video is absolute bullshit and not correlated by any scientific research.

When I was in the Air Force, I would come back to my parents' house probably once every four years. Our cat always remembered me and would run up to me outside, roll around in front of me, and squeak lol. Never did meow, but that taught me they do have a long memory.

Nice video, it was always my impression that the cat mostly remember the activities and rituals instead of the person themselves. My cat stayed at my moms house when I moved out to study, but whenever I was back she would sleep with me and sit on my lap while I was at my desk, just like the gold old days. I still have a picture of her on my desk, RIP ♥

I live on a farm and one of our 3 cats didn't like the other cats so she left. A few years later I saw what I thought looked like her on a farm a few km away. So I stopped by, called her name and she came running and screaming at me <3 I would've brought her home but she seemed happy where she was and we still owned the cats that she didn't like, so I just petted her and gave her a turkey the next day. So even though she was always more of a wildcat than a home cat, she still remembered her name and owner.

Didn't see a cat for 3 years once, it was my old flatmates. It jumped up and ran up to me meowing when I visited, usually it would just ignore people and lay there doing its thing. So I know for a fact that atleast one cat remembers after 3 years.

🤔🤔🧐🧐 “F.O.M.O.” Fear of missing out usually afflicts very friendly house cats, can be very humorous to observe can be managed by petting the cat, some cats insist on a back massage and/or belly rubs. In unusual cases cat will sit with you on lap and watch TV while you have coffee🤨

🥺My wife brought home a stray cat in early 2002 she was about 6 months old as per the veterinarian’s best estimate. We had the cat spayed. She was a very timid cat when we got her. By the end of 2002 when I had turned 40 she had blossomed into a friendly lap cat. The humorous talks between me and my wife was Dee Dee the cat lived a Life of Luxury in her minimum security prison. She was a house cat we never let her go outside. She was friendly to “EVERYONE” guests family and friends would refer to our cat as being a personality-cat.. She definitely had “F.O.M.O.” fear of missing out. I’d get home from work loud meows and purring. She would sit on either my lap or my wife’s lap and watch TV with us. We had Dee Dee for almost 21 years over a months time she ate less and less and her loud happy meows became barely chirps. The veterinarian put Dee Dee to sleep 1 day before my 60 th birthday. 🥺I miss that friendly fur ball.

I remember my first cat, and the time I went on a vacation for a few weeks. We left him at home (as to not make things too disruptive), and my grandparents visited every day to check up on him, feed him, and give him cuddles. When we got back from our vacation, he was so happy to see us. I miss him. He was a great cat, and an amazing friend.

I wondered when the new GS 1300 came out how many previous older model GS owners who went out and brought the new GS1300 would have buyers remorse? I think the improvements BMW made failed to outweigh the negatives at least for previous owners.

Cats are searching for their companions after a few days, then daily and after a week thoroughly. Then they will take a break, and once again search literally everywhere after another week. Then they resign, but some become depressed. The same does not happen, if they find the cat dead. For this reason, all my friends and myself keep a dead cat a day in a chest, so the others can recognize the passed away companion. Since I have only feral cats, this happened pretty often.

I moved away for two years and my calico stayed with my mom. She is a mixed cat so when i popped out of the car she was looking... Then she ran at me and would not leave my side for days I think their memory of people and animals goes longer than you think.

When I visited one of my parents who lives on the other side of the planet after being gone for 4 or so years, the house cat didn't recognize me by appearance and ran, but as soon as he smelled me he knew it was me and started purring on me, it's kinda crazy that they can tell who you are by scent.

Neighbors had a cat that would visit my mom’s garden. I interacted with the cat. He had a loud purr but a quiet miaow. They moved away and took the cat. About seven years later, I was visiting my mom when I noticed a cat just outside the gate. I happened to speak to the cat although I could not identify it in the partial shadow. The cat bounced into the garden and over to me with quiet miaows. I recognised him right away and I made a fuss of him. I also noticed that in the intervening years he had lost a hind leg. His purr was still very loud and he enjoyed all of the attention I was giving him. They do remember people who are good to them and with who they made a strong attachment.
