It didn’t really look like a “touch” and go…
That's because it isn't. A touch and go is a planned training manoeuvre to practice take off and landing. This was a rejected landing, they had every intention of landing, may even have touched down, but then opted to go around. The correct name for this is rejected landing.
@@RJM536 Actually correct name for it is a go around, when you hear the pilots on freq you don't hear them say "(callsign) rejecting landing" do you 🤣they say "(callsign) going around unstable approach" are you getting confused with a rejected takeoff?
@@repy250 a rejected landing is a type of go around. On the radio they say go around as it's a type of go around. in the flight deck we say rejected landing as we are so close to the ground it is a different procedure, don't adjust flaps or gear until you have some energy in the system, height and speed. Every airline must have a rejected landing policy for maybe 8 years now.
