  I work on a towboat on the Mississippi river I fried catfish every single Friday and I do the exact same thing from the jelly like meat in that red meat and my crew on every boat I’ve been on said I’m the only cook that takes that Red out ❤😂of the catfish. And that’s because I love catfish and that crap taste like dirt I won’t eat nobody’s catfish except FishCamp in Enterprise, Mississippi or Bubba and Quitman Mississippi next to mine that’s it but I know I’d eat yours too. Thank you for sharing.

  Ball park how much is it to rebuild one of these old chrysler outboards? I think I have a bad piston in my 75hp, wondering if worth redoing or not. Thanks.

  the parts are fairly cheap on ebay. depends on how far you go. hone cylinder new piston rings. thats a couple hundred. gaskets are not to expensive. hell of a lot cheaper than a new motor. . im so glad i went this way. i spent prob 3-400 over the winter but i replaced EVERY gasket hoses and re ringed all 3 pistons ect. it started right up when i was done.
