My heart breaks for you guys watching you go through this. My husband and I went through almost the exact same thing last year with our first baby in February. We had a home birth, she had transient tachypnea, and we had to go to two different hospitals. Our local one wouldn’t let me nurse her more than once for fear of her aspirating. Then transferred via ambulance again also without us, to a further hospital 1.5 hours away. Then a forced 2 night stay in hospital, waiting for their approval to send us home. She spent the first night in NICU. They provided no treatment, nothing helped her breathing settle down to a relaxed rate except time with her parents. Fast breathing rate was the only issue, all stats were healthy, but of course they wanted to rule everything out. So stressful, of course thank goodness nothing was wrong but it’s very hard to go through, especially when you did all the work of having a natural birth outside of the hospital. I haven’t finished this video yet but I hope you guys made it home finally and everything else turned out how you wanted. Val powered through labor and birth absolutely incredibly!!!!

I’m due any day now! I’m so glad I came across your video! This just pumped me up and made me feel good. I’m getting a bit anxious- but I’m trying to relax and completely surrender my body! We are made to do this. I plan to do this natural and on my terms. Laboring at home as much as possible before going to hospital. I just need to trust my body and my baby. I can do this ! Actually, working and cleaning is actually good for pregnancy. As long as its not too much strain. Healthy momma, healthy baby. You want to keep moving as much as you can.

Ah yes, making women feel shamed about feeding their child. One, if my baby is screaming, I’m going to be more focused on my baby than someone else’s wandering eye. If you have a problem with me feeding a baby, thats on you. Babies can easily get squished too much into the boob and have trouble breathing. Covers should be optional, and whoever said about pumping in bottles, you are an idiot. Breastfed babies don’t usually like bottles, and will fuss more.
