The camera is nothing more than a sterographic camera that existed 100 plus years ago in film cameras.
Is it easier to watch 3d Movies with it?
Not really, hope they make the SW better so real 3d is easier to consume from the likes of youtube, prime or even stereoscopic games via steam stream
Which ones are comfortable to laydown with
Out if interest. How does it compare to the accessories for thr viture glasses?
Hope everything is ok now, after the hectic weeks.
What do you mean by utility? 7:03 And can you type out the name of the product that you say is coming out later this year please? I didn't quite understand. Thank you!
More interested in output 3d video to other formats and devices...
The UI sucks on this platform. Most people just want the Entertainment features not a camera. I’ll take pictures with my iPhone 16 when it comes out for those depth pictures. Not a $200 budget one. You get what you pay for
Rokid station 2 is way better
I use the Nebula app and my phone. I can text, make calls, or mirror every app on my phone.
nice design and idea a Dashcam mounted in you Face....does it comes with Backing camera as well?...
Hi and thanks for for your very informative video. Being a person with high myopia (-9) I will for sure need special lenses. What's the best option for my use case (considering I do long sessions relaxing in bed)? Thank you in advance
I use the lenses from VR-ROCK for all of my headsets. Look in this video's description for a link and discount code.
The thing that makes me happy about the beam pro is that I can kill that battery and still have a working phone in my pocket :D. The spatial computing and the dedicated OS is still great.
Can i use my first gen xreal glasses?
Yes, works fine
Could you please let me know if it's possible to turn off the screen when the device is connected to the glasses? I'm interested in conserving battery life, similar to how the screen can be turned off when using Dex. Thank you for your assistance.
So the answer to this is yes and no. Obviously when in screen mirror mode you cannot because then all you see is the lock screen since it is mirroring your devices screen view. While in nebula you can turn off the screen however the minute you touch it it automatically turns back on because the screen is used as a touchpad and laser pointer. If you're worried about battery life I can say so far I've been able to use the device heavily and it keeps up very well. Also can take a fast charge so even if you have to plug in at some point midday you're back up and running really quickly.
Can it do split screen 2 apps at once in screen mirror mode? This is how I use the beam original using wireless smart view from my phone samsung s20 and it's pretty cozy to use.
Not in screen mirror mode no.. to use two apps side by side you would have to be in nebula.
Mine arrives today. I bought with the air 2 pro as a screen replacement. Im a heavy user of Quests. But I needed a lighter productivity/entertainment device while I'm layed out for a couple weeks after shoulder surgery. I'm hoping it lives up to my expectations. The 3D camera is what really put me over the edge as an additional selling point.
Yeah I'm sure you've already used it by now but for what you're talking about this is going to work great! I love my quest for just about everything but you can't beat laying in bed with this on your face versus a box on your head! Hope whatever is going to have you laid out passes quickly!
Can you watch 3D movies on device with out glasses???
I mean I guess you could run a side by side 3D video and try to do the cross side effect but if you're talking about this being a glass is free 3D screen then no! In order to watch 3D videos on this you would need to connect the glasses and then put the glasses into SBS 3D mode.
@@vrgamerdude gutted i was hoping it would b like the lg Optimus 3D from back in the day 🙁 would of been amazing if u could of watched 3D movies on the screen thanks anyways and its a great Review 👍
@@LegendHunter22 yeah I still have my old HTC EVO 3D sitting on a shelf I loved the glasses free 3D back in the day and will admit that that would have made this a very cool experience both with the glasses and the device itself.
After spending a few days with the Xreal Air 2 Ultra and the Beam Pro, here are my thoughts: The Ultra glasses offer an ultimate On-the-Go Display: This device is perfect for any Android app and streaming media. It’s truly the ultimate portable display solution. The field of view has been enhanced to 52 degrees up from the Pro's at 46 degree field of view. What's more exiting is that it offers 6 degrees of freedom. So now we have hand tracking as well. I have tested this and it works okay but in my opinion it's still a bit buggy. The audio in the glasses seem perfectly clear without any distortion or crackling at full volume. Seamless Connectivity: I’ve used it extensively with Anydesk, and thanks to Windows 11 Pro, I can use Android RDP to log directly into the console. It’s incredibly convenient. Screen Recording Limitation: The screen recording feature seems to be capped at 30 seconds, which might be a setting I haven’t discovered yet. However, this limitation doesn’t apply to 3D recording via the device. The glasses are also exceptional when used just with a devide such as the Samsung 24 Ultra which I use. I would say the Android Nebula app is more advanced than the Nebula operating system on the Beam Pro (Currently as least)! I also understand there is Nebula for Mac & PC although I have tested these. The ability to change the size and display addition screens however are currently limited to the Beam Pro. Specifications: I used the CPU-Z android tool to scrape the following details for your interest. Model: Xreal X4000, Android 14 Battery: 4300mAh Processor: 4 x ARM Cortex-A55 @1.80 GHz, 4 x ARM Cortex A55 @2.21 GHz Cores: 8 Cores, 3 Threads Resolution: 1080 x 1140 pixels, 300 DPI (Per Eye) Impressions: Field of View: The field of view is impressive, though future models will need to improve in this area to compete with the likes of the Apple Vision Pro. Display Quality: The screens are exceptional, with vivid colours that stand out. Performance: The 8GB model performs well, though the 6GB model might not be as robust. Overall, for the price, the Xreal Air 2 Ultra & Beam Pro offer a very impressive experience.
How easy is it to transfer spatial videos and photos to other devices such as the quest 3 & iPhones ?
Have no idea about iPhones as I'm not an Apple user but to transfer to Quest is very easy by using side quest.. basically my flow on this is just dropping them in my Google drive and then downloading them to my PC and then I connect my quest to my PC via side quest and move them over.
I think the Xreal Beam Pro is fantastic for entertainment (watching movies, social media etc.) but not so great for productivity because it is missing something like DeX. Yes, there is experimental desktop mode for Android but it does not play nice with Nebula. I can work around this via Remote desktop tools, but part of my use case is to be productive when I'm not connected to the network (e.g. on a plane). P.S. If Xreal were commercially minded they'd be offering 3D movies / experiences in their store to sell the advantages of the glasses.
Yeah you can't beat Dex! It has been one of my number one use case apps for the last 3 years that I've been testing all of these AR/XR glasses. Too bad Samsung's got that locked down! 😖
@@vrgamerdude Yeah, Dex is awesome and I hope that Xreal can integrate the experimental desktop mode with nebula (they conflict at the moment and the performance is awful).
Thanks a lot for the review. I would have loved to see the review in combination with the new Xreal Ultra Air 2. They are available and shipping already (I own one myself). And they are amazing! I hope you can get your hands on one and then let me know what you think.
Yeah I'm eagerly awaiting my review sample. I've already played around with them a couple of times at CES and GDC this year but I really want to get them in my studio for some serious testing with this device and several others. Hopefully xreal will be sending them to press and influencers soon so stay tuned!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on XREAL Beam Pro Don! 😎
Hello how easy is to transfer spatial video and photos to other devices such as quest 3 to view the spatial videos ?
@@MrVenture21 Very! You can save to a local miscroSD card on the XREAL Beam Pro, or save them through a cloud service and transfer them to a compatible device.
Happy to.. it's a great device and a step in the right direction. Really looking forward to putting it through its paces again in another review once the Ultra's arrive! ;)
My flow on that is to save them to my Google drive since the beam Pro is connected to it through my Google account then once I have the pictures or videos on my Google drive I just download them to my PC and use sidequest to move them on to my headset. Sorry for the delayed response and hope this helps.
The "spatial" camera's are my main reason why I would want to buy it. Even without glasses (can watch the pictures on my Quest3).
Yes... you can move the pictures and videos over to your Quest3.
@@vrgamerdude can you share some sample 3d videos, so we can check actual quality?
@@relaxvideo3d I already did... There is a sample video posted to my channel.
I'm loving my Beam Pro. I didn't think it made much and I bought it mostly because I wanted to put an honest review on KZread. However, I can't put it down. I just wish GeForce Now worked better on it and it had a damn headphone jack for low latency audio. I also wish it still had that corner view thing. This is way better than the original Beam for me. I feel like I need one cable plugged in. I just use Moonlight and Sunshine for game streaming.
Yeah definitely a step above The Beam for sure and I agree I tend to use mine everyday since I received it. Definitely has some DRM issues and have had some Wi-Fi issues but that could be due to low signal areas in my house. Overall I'm pleased with it I just really want to see the spatial features come to life once I receive my ultra review kit so stay tuned for a follow-up once that happens.
Ultras are already out... Need an update video
Ultras are currently shipping to very early pre-orders and in super limited supply. Most people won't have them in their hands until mid to end of August. Already been told by Xreal that I should have a set on the way but they are dragging their feet on getting review units out. Most likely due to the fact that there's not much 6 dof content to show on them at this point.
So is it worth the hype ???? 🤓
As I mention in the end of the video I feel it is if you are already invested into the XREAL Ecosystem but TLDR.. Its basically a mid teir cell phone with a stereo 3D camera that works much better than the original Beam.
@@vrgamerdude is there a similar competing product to consider if someone has not yet invested in any of the ecosystem ? I mean if I am considering xreal glasses+beam pro bundle - are there other similar combo options from others like TCL Viture Rokid or any other which i can consider and compare before pulling the trigger?
@@ketley2aug For me personably the best combo is the Viture Pro glasses with the Viture neckband and custom 8Bitdo Controller. Not sure if they sell them in a discounted bundle but if you decide to go that way you can get an additional 10% off your entire purchase at their website by using my code "vrgamerdude" which as of today also works on the Pro glasses! 😎
Relevant hardware details: SD Card slot - it has one! WiFi only, no GPS but does have WiFi Location Services. Future model will have 5G Data and GPS.
Yeah... Not gonna lie, since most phones are ditching the expandable SD card slot these days I totally forgot to mention that. Nice to have feature for sure so thanks for adding to the chat.
I have the XReal 2 glasses and the original Beam. I love the glasses but XReal needs to fix their software before I do any type of upgrade.
You won't regret buying this product@@bluebell1
Am I early?
Nope... Never too early! 😎
This didn’t work for first time has it been updated now the mix reality looks so cool can’t wait to try. It’s nice to see you so excited about this thought it was just me I love this quest 3 sub like.
Thank you so much.. this is still one of my favorite apps to just chill out in!

@@vrgamerdude I'll say this, so far Nebula on Beam is more sparse than Nebula for Android. But it's to be expected with the 6DoF stuff. Sorry for the lengthy post. It was part of a script I was thinking of doing a video for and I got a bit carried away and pasted it in, lol. Sorry.
LXZ-7RWR06H 10% OFF for your order (including the pro glasses)
Quick comment when you are testing the beam pro can you also let it be known if it’s compatible with the viture pro. Thank you
@@silverchin43 No need to keep you waiting for that answer... Yes it is compatible however only in screen mirror mode. So basically it would be no different than hooking it up to a mid tier cell phone at that point because you would not be able to use the nebula spatial UI. Hope that helps.
@@vrgamerdude thank you for that my good sir. 🖖
Wear do I get the 3d app
The way I did this is using VLC player putting it in SBS mode and then activating the 3D feature on the glasses directly.
Thanks so much a will try it just now
How many players can play at once ?
Pretty sure it is 2
Thanks for the unbox. Quick question, is it normal for these VR to not fully hug left and right side so letting in just a fraction of light?
Thanks.. Glad you liked it and it really depends on face shape and size... for some folks it is a pretty tight seal but for others they can see a bit of light. Honestly for me I took the facial interface off completely and its AWESOME this way.. especially for Mixed Reality as it give extra perceived FOV due to having some sense of peripheral vision. Not great for deep immersion but if you haven't tried this yet.. find a good MR app like Miracle Pool, Ocean Rift or ASTRA and check out the difference!
Looks like they took the idea of XR glasses and made a worse, weirder looking version of them. I'll stick with my XReal Air 2 Pros.
different devices... This isn't trying to be or emulate XR glasses. I also like my Xreal Air 2 Pro's and Viture Pro's but the video quality on something like this actually is slightly better!
Great video. Subscribed! I'm trying to decide between the xreal air 2 pro with beam pro or the viture with some accessory. I really want to use some glasses to watch KZread while I cook, and as an external monitor for my MacBook. I think both can work as the external monitor, but I have a Nothing Phone 2 so I don't have display out, meaning I _think_ KZread while cooking is going to be best on the xreal air 2 pro with beam pro. But maybe there's some way to do it with the viture one 🤷♂️
With Mac VITURE would be best do to the Spacewalker app.. still gonna need a phone that supports vid out on USB c or the neckband which is excellent! Beam Pro and Xreal Air 2 Pro or upcoming Xreal Air 2 Ultra would also be a great combo but I still like the screen slightly better on VITURE.
@@vrgamerdude thanks for taking the time to reply to me. Can see how much effort you're putting into your channel.
Hey. You’re the only one doing comparisons all 3 gen 2 AR glasses and brands. Thx. Btw does the beam pro work with Viture pros. I’m thinking of getting that instead of neck band to work with viture pro Also you mentioned the mobile dock works with other brands. Can I use xreal air as my second pair of glasses with mobile dock and viture pro?
thanks.. Glad to do this and yes it does but it's no different than a cell phone without using Xreal glasses.. in other words all you would get is screen mirror mode so no access to the Nebula Spatial UI. Best combo IMHO right now is VITURE Pro and Neckband.
@@vrgamerdude thank you. I appreciate it. I heard bad things about the neck band mainly the loud fans. Maybe I’ll hold off and hope for a neck band pro
@@kenkwok83 you might not have to hold off too much longer but you never know 😉
I only want something for gps since I travel alot and recording would be cool. Any suggestions?
So cool to find you after VR Gamecast. 😁 Thank you for your contribution to the VR community 😁
Hey awesome... Glad you found my channel (≡)-)
Totally expected. I mean the viture are almost a 100 bucks more expensive 😅 so you might expect it to be better on most fronts
Where did you get the 100 difference? They are literally the same, 10 bucks difference. Plus, you also need prescription lenses on xReal if nearsighted, while Viture includes this feature built-in for most people.
@@AlexJorgensenPresident not here in europe or atleast my country
not always true but in this case yep.. UR right!
Any comments on the companion software? My use case is more for extending my Macbook pro monitor. I have the xreal air 2 pro and the Nebula companion app sucks big time. Gives me headache all the time due to the unstable head tracking. Is the Spacewalker better? Thinking to jump over.
For MacBook the VITURE Spacewalker software is top notch.. Also works with iphone as well as Android and windows now. If you are a Mac user I can't reccomend VITURE enough.. they work best with Mac!
@@vrgamerdude thanks! will sell my XREAL devices and jump over VITURE.
Could you answer this one question for me please? While the summer and prime sales are on now, which glasses would be best for me? The main use would be watching movies, browsing and playing games. Theres a lot of different scenarios I would use them for. Whether it's at home while im laid in bed or sat on the sofa. On my travels, especially on long haul flights to pass time. Also, for my job, I do night shifts at times, so it would definitely come in handy🤫😂 Would you recommend xreal with the beam pro or something else? Price is not an issue for me.
Some deals might end tonight. I live in UK so ahead of time.
Hey so sorry I've been super busy and haven't been able to respond to a lot of comments the last few days.. as I stated in this video, especially for the use cases that you mentioned, I would currently recommend VITURE Pro with neckband and possibly the docking station and a second set of glasses if you travel with someone else.
@vrgamerdude no problem. Yeah I just been really confused with the two because everyone hypes over the xreals and apparently this beam pro is suppose to be the game changer. Ideally, I'd love to be able to do all of this wirelessly but I guess we aren't quite there yet.
what would you rate these for daily wear?
@@tumuakonglee5569 I mean technically you could wear these all day because they are no different than a set of prescription glasses.
Hi! Do other xr glasses work with Viture dock?
Yes but a few things do not work like screen pinning or 3D.
come one, you cant tell me this is comfortable than ar glasses like viture
Actually it is because you don't feel the glasses frame on your face or the pressure of the arms against your temples.
🤦🏻♂️

Where the review dude, its been weeks since you stated on twitter it was coming
What you've been seeing so far out there is from beta testers and not press or influencer reviews.. The point is is that a lot of people unfortunately can't travel to events like this to try new technologies before they are released so they rely on people like myself and my peers, who are blessed, to get opportunities like this to tell them our opinions so that they may make better informed choices when it comes to purchasing this tech? 😎
