A level Law is a challenging but very interesting subject to study. This channel is designed to help you understand the key topics and prepare you for the exams.
Each topic will explain the essential points you need for AO1 (legal knowledge) as well as AO3 (evaluation).
I teach the OCR exam board but the specifications across the boards are very similar.

um thx
What about the letter left - Hate - I did this - I’m evil ? Is that normal from a person with mental capacity? Can we trust someone writing this obviously lacking mental capacity to mind our babies - sorry I can’t
@@andymousoulou3862 So, the background- She had initially been cleared of wrongdoing by the RCPCH investigation. She had been exculpated in her grievance claim against doctors Brearery and Jayaram over their bullying. Then, despite this she was moved to a desk job which she hated, then suspended, told not to talk about what was going on with others and then finally she was arrested at home, where her house was searched , she was detained for 3 days and interrogated 13 times. After this she was bailed to her parents home which was then searched. That's when they found these notes which to me read very much like a extremely distressed, near suicidal person processing an unthinkable situation. I very much doubt, if she was this cunning heartless killer, she would have written it and certainly I doubt she would have left it in her parent's home. Please Google 'Lucy Letby's notes' and have a close read yourself. I would ask you to note how she has written above the allegedly incriminating things "I have done nothing wrong" along with lots of other bits about slander, discrimination, 'why me' etc. Above the famous line "I AM EVIL I DID THIS" are the words "they went" in cursive. For me, it looks like processing allegations put to her by the police. I'm not sure of the exact times, but this would have been a couple of years after she was moved, so it must have been hell for a long time. She uses cursive, I think to express her own thoughts, and uppercase is intrusive thoughts, maybe instead of quotation marks. No question marks are used. It's an emotional outpouring
If Lucy Letby was Black you wouldn't get all the simps on here saying she's innocent.
I really do wonder if Lucy is guilty of these crimes. The police make mistakes as well all know.Go back to the Hillsboro Disaster where so many many people lost their lives and it was proved that the police lied and lied again.I think Lucy Letby should have her case reopened for sure kind regards Jeremy Allfrey.

Her legal team were absolute s**T ....
This entire farce is quite possibly one of the most heartbreaking things I've ever come across. For the prosecution to be allowed to deliver a closing speech that included the statement that there are "No innocent coincidences" should be absolutely bone chilling to everyone in the UK. I used to believe that we were a nation of laws, where we defend the indefensible actions of the guilty in order to ensure the freedom of the innocent. Without wanting to sound too conspiratorial, I now believe that these type of cases almost act as a national stupidity test in order to determine the extent to which the public will buy into this kind of preposterous nonsense. As Yuri Alexandrovich would describe, the useful idiot agents for the subversion of our society are now entirely in control. Where the burden of proof on the prosecution was beyond all reasonable doubt, its truly incomprehensible how the jury came to their decision. One thing that concerns me the most, is where is the outrage from the legal profession?
@@andrewcdavies21 👏👏👏 It's just obscene. If there was a bit of honesty, this nver would have happened. Honesty from the CoCH that they were nowhere near a level two; that understaffing, cramped and wildly unhygienic unit, along with consultants barely showing up, was causing unnecessary suffering and deaths. If Jayaram, Brearery etc admitted they actually did nothing, just make retaliatory complaints against Letby after being found guilty of bullying her, not informing the GMC, as is their duty, not warning coroner / pathologist of suspicion, not keeping any notes or diaries or notifying the child death oversight panel - which they sat on! They recorded the deaths as expected! Also terrifying every time you're reminded just how malleable public opinion is. The number of people who think it's wrong to question her case, because the charges are so terrible. Endless list of devastating, infuriating and scary
I have to wonder, what is the point of a retrial? If she is already (found) guilty of 7 other charges and she is never going to be released from prison.
I understand what you mean, but it’s important for the family of Baby K to get justice. Her life sentence is a whole life order so she is never getting out of prison but if she is found guilty then it is recognition of what acts she has committed and would give the family some sense of justice.
@@learnlawwithhannah thank you, I hadn’t even thought of it that way
Thanks 🎉
human rights section a was justice and society section b was article 6 and police powers / article 11 and public order offences and the eval was article 8
How did you find it?
@@learnlawwithhannah sources wear great the eval and section a i didn’t have a final disagree point for but i still think it was a great paper
Hello. Has the lucy letby trial started?
Yes- I’ll be posting a video at the end of the week 🤓
i Have always felt shes innocent, If she is its never too late for God to intervine
You were so helpful thank you!!
I do AQA exam board article 8/5/10/11 came up and justice your videos helped me a lot thanks so much
What do you think the grade boundaries will be for an A* and A for OCR?
So difficult to tell- about 70% for an A maybe???
@@learnlawwithhannah So would that be 80% for an A star?
Probably about that but it’s difficult to say as it depends upon how everyone does!
THANK YOU SO MUCH, you’ve been my knowledge for all three papers 🫶
You’re very welcome 🤓
Thank you so so much for all of your help! Genuinely appreciate all the time and effort you have put in and hopefully it made the difference xx
Thank you so much! I’m glad they’ve helped 😎
I couldn't believe how accurate the predictions were when I opened the paper and read the questions! Though I did struggle slightly with public order despite revising it, I did remember the offences, just not all the sections so hopefully the examiners still credit me. Honestly thank you for your predictions across all 3 papers and I'll leave a comment when I get my results!
I’m so glad it went well and that my predictions were pretty good 😂 Enjoy the summer and I look forward to hearing from you on Results Day 👏
i didn’t do human rights, i did contract & nature of law - it wasn’t too bad i suppose!! my choice out of the 2 was “to what extent does the law effectively enforce social control”
I’m glad it wasn’t too bad 👊
Thank you very much for your videos I actually remembered some of the content in my exams I’ll definitely be recommending your videos to future year 13 or 12 law students!! Also I had like around 10 Minutes to do the criminal evidence act/police powers problem so I just added whether it’ll be unlawful or not - would that be credited?
I think the paper went ok, I did the part 1 scenario which was article 6 and then PACE and Criminal Evidence Act. The evidence act did trip me up a bit! I just want to say thank you for your videos, they were so helpful in clarifying things up and will definitely recommend you to others!
Thank you so much and I’m glad it went well 🥰
idk if you’ve been told about the wording for the article 8 question but could you have talked about it being a qualified right and talk about how private life home and family and correspondence is open to interpretation, and could you talk about article 10 versus article 8 in the a03? So for the law and justice I mentioned things like Miscarriages of justice How long it takes a court case to come to court The secret barristers view on the court system Stephen Lawrence case - and idk if they’re relevant too 😭
These all sound like relevant points!! I haven’t seen the paper yet but I think there’s a whole range of things you could discuss!
@@learnlawwithhannahthank you! And the question for article 8 was along the lines of judicial interpreting and article 7 being broad and therefore leading to uncertainty and then the law and justice essay was on if justice is better in theory rather than practice
THANK YOU!!!!!
SIDE B WAS A BLESSING
OMG YOU GOT IT RIGHT!!!!!!!!!
Yesssss How did it go?
@@learnlawwithhannah I think I did better on paper 1 and 2 but it still went very well

your videos have honestly saved me for this paper, I was going through a rough time when my teacher taught literally this whole paper and have managed to memorise most of human rights and nature of law just from your videos. So thank you so much ❤
Awww thank you ❤️ I hope you’re okay and I’m sure you’ll do well tomorrow- sending you lots of luck! Please let me know how you find the exam👊🤓
@@learnlawwithhannah it went really well to be honest. Justice essay was good. And article 11 + public order offences like you predicted and an article 8 essay so overall went pretty well! Wouldn’t of done it without you ☺️
@evehartley7917 Well done 🥳 How nice to have finished now! I’m glad the videos helped- please spread the word 👊😬
I thought they ask one application a02 question on just 1 article and another on just human rights and English law 😭
Section A- essay Section B- two scenarios and one essay Four in total- spend 30 minutes on each 👊

tbh they haven’t done a question on exemption for a long time!
@@stephie7687 what topic is exemption??
@@stephie7687 ah okay thank you!
Any tips for revision in the last couple days? (I’m doing contract 🥲)
Section A- you could leave out a topic as you have a choice of two. I’d practice the AO1 for each topic and then the AO3 👊
@@learnlawwithhannah when you say topic do you mean the big topics like how in crime fatals would be a big topic but murder, loss of control etc would be mini topics. So can they only ask one of the mini topics on one side in the big topics if you understand what I’m saying?
When u say article 8 and judicial review do u mean they’ll be part 1 and 2 separate questions or they’ll be combined in 1 scenario question 😭
For Judicial review scenario question, does this involve enforcement in relation to the HRA 1998? Also thank you for the predictions
You’re welcome 🥰 I’d hope JR would be about the orders or the criteria.
You were my only hope for contract law 😭😭😭
SOOO REALLL
I’m so sorry contract lawyers 😬🥹 You’ll all be fine- I have faith! Revise Section A well too- I’d be tempted to leave out a topic as you have a choice of two
Are there any main evaluation points for Article 5? If so, what are they?
I’d think about any cases you could comment on as that counts as evaluation. I think I’ve done an evaluation video on the HR playlist 🤔🤓
For the vicarious liability question what was the question asking for ? I spoke about ,economic reality test and Christian brothers case and briefly considered frolic of own, doing job badly and acting against orders. I know I didn’t speak on close connection properly will I still pick up any marks ? Will my whole question be disregarded? Plz
Please don’t worry, any irrelevant information will just be ignored 👊 it didn’t want the traditional tests like the economic one, but it sounds like you’ve got lots of other information in. As a tip for for the future, I would just be really careful and read the question to see what it actually wants. There’s no negative marking, but it just means you waste your time if you write about things that aren’t needed. How are you feeling about paper three?
@@learnlawwithhannah was the Christian brothers case relevant to the question? Not good I do contract law and my teacher left it all to be self taught with homework 😬.
