Man, I saw Gladys and the Pips a dozen times live in my life, on the west coast, and every note in every song in every show was flawless. Gladys is the best female vocalist of my long lifetime, maybe tied with Brenda Holloway. This clip from the Regal is sensational, that orchestra was killin' it, and the Pips were WORKIN' it!

This isn't The Regal Theater in Chicago. The Regal closed in 1968 it was demolished in 1973. This song was released in August 1973. The Regal had been closed for 5 years at that point.

That Movie was Made in Harlem Edgecombe ave. I went to school at I.S 136 on Edgecombe ave. This movie was Shot On location all over Harlem i know what I'm talkin about i was born in Harlem i went to school there P.S 175 and I.S 136 city college is right across the street from there.

I'm glad I had the honor to meet him My pastor years ago right before he passed away he came to Arizona for a few days to dedicate our church he was our Bishop and my pastor took me with him to his funeral.iits to much to tell but I got a chance to meet Tramaine and Carlton Pearson and a lot of great gospel singers I will never forget it ❤❤❤
