    Reading through these comments makes me laugh my ass off. All these quad racers even attempting to say quads are harder than bikes are completely backwards and giving themselves illusions. Anyone who ever has raced bikes and then tried a quad will tell you it is much easier to race the quad then the bike. Everyone I know who has says this. I know an expert rider who races in my series in the bike class that raced quads for a year and said it was way easier and he ended up kicking all the normal quad guys asses too and winning the expert class by a mile. And he dominated, when in the bike class he had to fight just to get a win and didn't most of the time. It doesn't work the other way around either. Every quad rider that has ever tried to race a bike in my series (of whom most were expert or A quad riders) couldn't even be in the top part of the bike C class. They all ended up going back because they said bikes were too hard. End of discussion. Let all the idiot responses begin!

    riding a quad at pro level is harder and more physical than a 2 wheeler at pro level.. i was australian quad pro champion 2001 four years later i went back to 2 wheelers as they required less effort to ride fast and less injury's. if you ever get a chance to ride a quad on a motorcross track make sure you jump all the jumps & doubles then tell me its easier than a 2 wheeler. No good say'n my freinds mothers brothers uncle say's its easier...

  • @cmv1810

    Dude, I respectfully disagree. I have indeed tried a quad before on a track and trail (my cousin races them and he came up to ride with us one day) and after riding my bike 1st on both and then riding the quad, quad was so much easier, skill wise and physically. Everyone of my friends who rides bikes and have tried a quad have done and said the same thing. And with respect to your argument about the pro level, I know a guy by the name of Scottie rich, who battles out front in the expert bike classes regularly and has had a pro license in the past, who went over the quads for a couple seasons after many years of battling out front on bikes and dominated them, he even went to a national gncc race and podiumed in the pro class. In the bikes he wouldn't have had a prayer of doing that, in fact he has never even been anywhere close. And ive also noticed that every time a quad rider tried to do a bike race, they get fucking whooped, I know some pro/expert quad guys who have ridden bikes and they are lucky to be a B rider on a bike, some were Cs, and the amateur quads who try are barely even decent C riders. And why use other examples besides my own you ask? Because if I didn't you would tell me I was full of shit, and lying.

    so your comparing racing a quad at pro level to racing a 2 wheeler at pro level? ever come off a quad? they always land on you.. your the first person i've known to think this way.. also i dont understand why people who like motorbikes can hate quads? for me if it has a motor & its fun why not...

  • @cmv1810
    @cmv181010 жыл бұрын

    I don't hate quads at all or have a problem with them, I just don't think they require the same skill level or fitness as a bike. I know quads have some gnarly crashes just like bikes do. But it's just I go nuts when quad guys try to say they are harder than bikes (all the time!), because its completely backwards. Anyone an any level I have talked to including myself that has ridden BOTH, whether they are C, B, A, Expert, Pro, or whatever always says bikes are easily harder in most every aspect. When you have had quad guys trying to tell you the opposite for years, it really gets on your nerves after a while when you have ridden both and know from experience that a bike is harder.

    so throwing aroung something thats twice the weight, bumpsteers & 2 front wheels to turn with same type of handlebars is easier? not to mention in the forest the tracks are a lot wider on a 2 wheeler than a 4 wheeler. as i said your the first person i've encountered that thinks that way.

    Yeah, they are closer than you would think but it also depends on the track layout. No doubt about it bikes are easier to maneuver around a track and will be faster the more technical the layout, but the pro quad guys are FAST!!! I raced quads for 5-6 years and ran up against some of the top pros during open track events and couldn't believe how fast they were when I thought I was pretty fast lol. I don't want to take anything away from the bike pros either, they are amazing riders!!!

  • @yfz162
    @yfz16211 жыл бұрын

    Much faster??? Not really.... At Steel City MX in PA a couple years back they ran the pro quads and the pro bikes on the exact same track set-up the same weekend and the fastest lap times recorded for both bikes and quads were less than a second apart. I wouldn't consider that much faster. Do you race??? I would like to see you hang 2 laps with one of the top quad racers in the country... They are much faster than you think. Yes, I have much respect for bike riders too....
