  Good Morning. I fractured my spine and had 3 crush virtabre bones in my back in July 2021, I couldn't feel my legs and walking would hurt my back very much. Last March when I bought my e-bike I had major back pain and I was mainly using the throttle. I live in Victoria BC Canada so throttling is allowed, but then my doctor told me to use the pedal assist to ride and get exercise. So, I use pedal assist 3 and ride about 20 km/hr on average and I ride about a distance of about 25-30 km on daily rides (I rode well over 8,200 km since last March). Now I DON'T have any back pain and have full mobility of my back and continue to ride. My e-bike still feels New and I still love it so much and it's my main source of transportation.   They explode like a bomb. They are so harmful to the environment that you can drive a hummer for 50,000 miles for it to use the amount of fossil fuels that were used in harvesting the rare earth materials in making them. It takes about 15 gallons of gasoline to charge one once. You still have to peddle because they don't actually move on their own. Basically they fail at everything they claim they do. Oh and you can't recycle the material and disposing of them can not be done safely at all. They are bad at everything.

  @@TECHTALKtt2023 Hell the largest evidence warehouse in New York City was destroyed completely because one electric bicycle exploded and caused a massive fire burning the entire building to the ground. That thing was if you quadrupled the size of a Costco and gave it 2 more floors and that building was completely destroyed because an electric bicycle for no reason at all exploded on its own without warning at all. Oh and system that puts out fires including gas and oil and chemical fires and electric fires could not put out the specialized fire from the lithium batteries at all. The anti fire system was useless against lithium fires and those systems can put out a pipe bomb fire before it does any real damage.
