Peter on Cars is a channel about special cars. Both modern sports cars and old classics.
I am the lucky owner of a Ferrari 360 Modena F1 and a Porsche Cayman S, which will both be featured in my videos.
Focus in my videos is the close up of cars and their owners. Not so much about racing and high speed entertainment.
The motivation to do close ups came from my own desire to know more about my cars interior and functionality before I bought them and not so much about top speed.

The secret is in the word, upgrade. To grade up.
I would put the challenge air grills on the front.
I always laugh when people comment on things like changing rims saying "ohh they arent stock " i reply with "What rims are on your ferrari?:
im thinking abouty a 360 moena f1 next year and im a totally agree with you mods. i m thinking about new drivingwheel like more moderns ferraris;

Like to take a moment to thank all the 360 owners who upgraded their wheels and sold off the OEM ones. A set of chrome 360 starfish look KILLER on my triple black 348 Spider.

Peter, great video and those are absolutely awesome wheels! They are Novitec? 19" or 20"? Can you share the information on where you got them and if they are still available, and from where? The Novitec website lists them as unavailable. Thanks again :)

Does the f430 have the same engine layout like the 360 (access to timing chain and belts behind the seats)?
I think a big wing on the back, doesn't look good. The car is classic the way it came from the manufacture. I like Capristo, but I have a Novitec exhaust on my 430. I really like the way the S-Line exhaust sounds. It' more like a formula race car sound.
Those wheels look great. How much wider than stock. I have a 360 spider and I'm considering the stradale wheels or the 430 wheels. Any thoughts?
PETER THE GREAT! SPOT ON! Your Review and Your Car is Absolutely Fabulous! I rather fancy the Interior Upgrades You made to your 360. It's Very Modern and Elegant , Well put together. Nothing to Envy any F8, F12 or 812 Superfast. The ONLY Thing I would do is get SuperSexy Wheels like Deep Dish/ Concave, maybe 5spoke in Gold, Bronze, High Polished Aluminum or Chrome, or Chrome Red= aka G&G, Novitec, F&F, or Brixton Forged. YouKnow. YOUR THE MAN !. Your Car will POP! Everyone, even the Police will stop You for Photos. I wouldn't touch anything else on that Vehicle. The Way You have kept it, It's Pure Perfection! The interior carbon fibre parts looks great...the sticky buttons would be great as Carbon fibre...the gear Change computer upgrade is a good idea...The channel "Seen through Glass"...has a great information about 360 Moderna and a video of Re upholstery for the 360 moderna steering wheel 👍🏻
You've put so much money into the car that you could have gone up to an F430. Was it a matter of taste why you chose the 360?
I can assure you that the upgrade to the 430 would have been MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE 😂😂😂
Does the wider tires affect the speedometer's accuracy or affect the e-differential?

Great video! Btw it is the transmission control unit you have to change, not the ecu, to improve the gearshift. This is where people use the CS TCU.

Where do you buy carbon parts?
The rear grill is from "tuning-rabatte" on E-Bay. Or search for STW Gmbh. The center console is from "faithfulrainbow_bodykits" in Hong Kong. They were very fast to deliver. The fit was not 100% but if you are used to working around the car Im sure that you can make it fit. Quick info - you need the spring from the lid (the one to the hood opener and gas lid opener) in your own center console. the frame around the radio is from "syndicarb-carbon". It is not pure carbon but carbon over an original part. First I was not pleased with that - I even think that I gave the manufacturer a hard time about it (sorry about that if he is reading this) but looking at it and installing it, it is a very good piece of work! The piece around the steering colum is from the same place. the paddles are from "jwspecials" and they are SO nice!!!!! All items found on E-Bay. I hope that you can find everything. Those wide tyres? Really?? The whole joy of the 360 is that it moves around a bit (in the dry!). Monster truck tyres just take the fun away. Plus.. The original "starfish" wheels are possibly my all time favourites wheel. So iconic and such a perfect match for the 360.
I never tried the original tyres, but it drives really well with the Novitec 🙂 It is always a matter of taste if you upgrade. Personally I think that time has caugt up with the 360 in standard trim, so rims and carbon are a good way to pimp it🙂 Is yours standard all the way?

I enjoyed this video Thankyou. I agree 400hp is enough. I like how the revised wheels and tyres fill the guards, have you had any issues with the size, noise, tramlining etc? (I’m still running the factory spec Pirellis on mine, but am tempted by new wheels) I look forward to watching your upgrades
Hi Sean Thanks for your support! For the wheels and tyres I have no real issues. With larger wheels the do tend to feel heavy but I guess that can be expected. On my last set of Michelin Sport Cup tyres I did over 30k km, so very satisfied! A's for noise I cant really tell bcs of the Capristo 😂 Best regards Peter P

I changed my TCU to the CS unit which made a difference. Fitted gold scud 19” rims, look great. Also replaced the exhaust and eliminated the exhaust valves. Replaced the stock brake rotors with grooves floating discs, changed to softer pads and changed out the brake fluid for Castrol SRF. The car also had the yellow tacho card fitted which looks good. Air filters replaced with K&N and the air box covers replaced with carbon fiber.
Hej Peter, Jeg har kørt 175,000 km i min egen 360 Modena. Den har netop nu gennemgået en motor renovering hos AV Engineering i England. Det Er nu en helt anden bil at køre med et Challenge race car map og rev limit på 9000. Jeg kender 360 motoren efter så mange kilometer og Jeg var måløs da Jeg kørte den efter om bygningen og ecu remap. Det kan simpelthen ikke sammenlignes med en ‘standard’ 360 motor. Sam fra ‘seen through glass’ har lavet en KZread video vedrørende netop denne upgrade.. søg på hans kanal 👍🏻

They were on the car when I bought it, but I know a guy who bought some at a Ferrari dealership. So maybe they could help you in such a place. They are Novitec rims so you should be able to track them down 🙂 Happy hunting 🙂

It has been 7 yrs since I bought it, so I believe that the price is different today 🙂
is it possible to change the center console on the regular 360 to the challenge stradole center console ?
I would imagine that you can but Im not 100 pct sure.

Its a mode in the F1 version and it is the botton just next to the auto bottom 🙂 And as urbanRacer says, it increases the tractioncontrol. I think that I forgot to mention that. Thanks for watching my video 🙂

Not sure if you mentioned this, but I feel another nice upgrade is to swap out the 360 interior ac vents for 430 vents. Compliments the interior very well. Easy to DIY.

How on earth did you fit 345 width tires in the back? How wide are your wheels? I have 295 width and I was "hoping" to go to 305 or 315 at best. The car looks great! very nice upgrades.

Remember, he says he changed the rims. I too went to 295’s and I know you can go 305. But 315 might be difficult

Hej Ronnie Tak for det. Skjoldet omkring ratstammen kommer fra syndicarb-carbon - nu får du navnene på deres konto på E-bay. Den er lidt svær at montere, men det er mine evner taget i betragtning :-D Rammen omkring radioen kommer fra samme sted. De er ikke carbon helt igennem, men det er lavet over de originale dele - men så er man sikker på, at de passer. Det er carbon men kun et fint tyndt lag. Jeg kan dog alligevel anbefale! Midterkonsollen kommer fra Hongkong fra faithfulrainbow-bodykits og er carbon hele vejen igennem. Den er et tight fit, men kvaliteten er god. Låget ved knapperne til betjening er benzintæksel og fronthjelm er lidt af en udfordring, men jeg fik det til at fungere(efter diverse forbandelser :-D) Paddles er fra jwspecials og er full carbon - og god kvalitet. Der er småfejl i overfladen.
