So glad I found this, very interesting. I do wonder however, if the structures are more to do with the actual cattle herding rather than the "ritual" use that always seems to be the conclusion of archaeologists. Surely a large enclosure for keeping your herd safe would be more important to people.

Why was old Alula abandoned in the 80s then ? People should have been allowed to continue to live and thrive there imo.
The first time I watched this 2 years ago first thing I thought of was food storage. Two men could secure it form animals and thieves. Being in a line nowhere to hide. The only reason people built in ancient times was food water and religion.
