Thanks for the review. but please, change your strings. You may got used to the sound but there is a lot more if you invest into some new strings every now and then!

In a recent interview with Zakk Wylde he was asked if audience members always having their phones during shows shooting video ever annoyed him. He said no, and felt everybody experiences live shows their own way. Then he pointed out how little footage exists of Randy Rhodes live, and said if today’s video tech existed when he was a teen he would’ve absolutely been shooting video of Rhodes playing.

Randy gave Ozzy his comeback after leaving Sabbath. If not for Randy, and his unfortunate death Ozzy's career would've been over. Wouldn't be getting inducted in the Hall of Fame as a solo artist!!!

One of his greatest “tricks” is the quick brush across all the not always muted strings that he does between phrases. It mimics a human voice taking a breath. It’s just noise but very well placed noise. You can tell he studies Indian scales where different notes are used whether you are ascending or descending in the scale too. I love that he pretty much sticks to ONE guitar. Probably only switches when it falls apart from being played so much.

Very nice job, young man! 👏🏻 Very comprehensive review, especially for what I was looking for. I wanted to hear how it sounded when accompanying your own singing. Is your a model with the pick up, or were singing just with the microphone? Thank you,

I've listened to so many of the live Randy-Ozzy bootlegs, and the Milwaukee 1982 show was on another level. Randy was playing so aggressively and Ozzy was just out of his mind. There was a definitely a fire in them that night. It must have been magic to be there.

Randy was the best! He was my biggest influence when I started playing guitar. He was far ahead of his time. People forget, Randy was playing like this in the mid 70’s. He was a composer and created masterpiece songs and solos.

I hope you can continue to add to this list. A couple of these I had never heard/seen and are absolutely worthy. Another that I think could be added would be his Lie In Our Graves solo with Dave Matthews from June 2022 in Jacksonville.

Top guitarists don't have time to sing. Too busy making music. Derek Trucks has got to be one of the top guys around today. Great finger style he alone invented himself obviously. Quietly making it happen. The Allman Brothers had an excellent pedigree. He has to lead because he is a leader on guitar. His strumming licks are also as good as it gets. He was born to play guitar. He takes you on a ride and back and that's how music is meant to be. One band I really wanna see.
