Dejected literally means the same thing as sad.

"Dejected" means it is losing the will to live, as if no-one and nothing can ever help it: feeling lost and alone. There are reasons why we invent different words for things. And looking at your cowati baby, I would definitely describe it as "dejected".

I’m sorry you felt the need to comment negatively on my child’s video but if you actually followed me and my family on my other social media channels then you’d know that this ISN’T staged and that she is talented for her age and the fact she’s only been training a year. Her father (my husband) is a former pro MMA fighter and she gets a lot of feedback from him during training and she takes the sport very seriously. I’m extremely proud of her and the fact you think it’s staged is actually a compliment to her. She’s more technical than most boys in her belt level and size and you really should consider your words before commenting anything negative on social media, especially on a child’s video.

Hi again. I realised it's the WIFE WHO RESCUED THIS DARLING BABY COATI, not the hubby. But I've seen this a lot incl 1st hand, that the aminals fall in love with the men, who aren't too soft in scratching & roughhousing with them. I think that's why. Then they both get tired & sleep together like this. Is that what happened? 😁😇😁

You are right with both! He was bit in the back by a street dog after coming out of the jungle looking for help. There’s a big population of street dogs here in Tulum. That bite got infected and then we think he got into something poisonous because there’s a lot of construction debris around the jungle here with new development and improper disposal of waste, it’s quite sad because wild life are so affected. He was acting extremely strange on top of being ill when he was walking to us, like dizzy and disoriented. They travel in groups and he left his group to seek for help. He came right to us which is unusual. We were able to rehab him, get him a surgery he needed, and love him for several weeks until we put him in a wild animal sanctuary to get strong again before releasing back into the wild where he belongs with other coatis. We love that little guy and feel honored he came to us 🙏🏼
It's like a happy pet, not a wild rescue!
It actually was a wild coati that came out from the jungle to seek help. He came to us because we live in the jungle of Tulum. He was dying and injured and had been bitten by a street dog. If you look back at other shorts you’ll see how he was initially. This video was taken after a week of rehabbing him and bringing him back from nearly dying. They normally travel in packs, they aren’t known to act like this trusting to humans, it’s similar to a wild Mexican raccoon. He looks like a pet here because he was allowing us to help nurture him. But he was still very wild. I wouldn’t let him near my children because as cute as he was, he was still VERY wild at heart and had sharp teeth and nails. He’s now recovering in a wild animal sanctuary as he’s still rehabbing injuries.

He’s doing great! We nurtured him back to health for a few weeks and got him surgery and he’s now in a wild animal sanctuary as he heals in hopes to release him back into the wild so he can be free with other coatis 🫶🏼

That's got to be an error, I'd message the host. It definitely has gone up since I lived there but not that much, weird it's showing like that. You can still get a monthly rental for a 2 bedroom for about $1.8-$2k a month even as of last month.
