I found it odd that someone would tackle the idea of humanity’s gods with apparently NO knowledge whatsoever of who and what those gods actually were. Read Neil Gaiman, almost anything by him, to see how it’s done.

Yeah, humanity has a long history of waging wars, and war atrocities. Fortunately, there are people who try to reduce the amount of atrocities by fostering a culture of military honor, and of concentrating attacks on military targets. We also have the memories of the horrors committed during previous wars to inspire us to treat the civilians and prisoners better. Basically, humanity has looked at our past selves in the mirror and didn't like what we looked like, so now some of us are trying to improve ourselves. Sometimes its necessary to fight to defend ones self and others, but outright cruelty should be avoided, as it makes us less than human. It is the difference between the civilized and the barbarian.

The narration is getting better, but I really think this won't hit its' stride until the narrator either swaps the downers for caffeine, or gets fresh batteries. Also, taking a breath between sentences would improve continuity at least 111%. Decent story, but narration killed it. Keep going, yer gettin' better.

Great story, I like the fact it's about helping refugees and former slaves rather than "battling with tenacity etc. Actually sounds like a reasonable believable story.

This one. Either this is why we have not made contact with aliens (who wisely don't want to interact with us), or it is just a sad statement on why we haven't yet made it to space, because we spend too much time killing each other. When we are not using our brains for something useful (not very much) we are using them for something hostile and violent in nature. We didn't split the atom to make power plants. It was for bombs. We didn't make most medicine to make life better, we discovered most medicine to repair the damage from war. Would you really want to be an alien saying hello to us?

Yes, human engineers love to MacGyver things together. Even non engineers like myself sometimes channel our inner MacGyver to make or alter things to get stuff done.😂 That's a great show!😊

Considering how much slavory we have done it is nothing but a miracle that humanity ever grew above it in any, even facetious, ways. Especially considering that Lewis and Clarke were awful people and survived off of people, not the land, not their own efforts.
