    I carry a spare mag not because I think I'm gonna run out of ammo, but because I want a second chance in case of any hiccups that could stem from administrative action while handling the weapon.

    I've been carrying with iron sights for years. I do have firearms with red dot with Shake awake. I'm not sure about carrying a Red Dot because I'm not sure about it being on all the time. It would be nice if they came out with Red Dot that shuts off when it's sitting vertical. As in shuts off in holster.

    Not a medical expert by any means but if you have kids you should get some tourniquets for kids. Normal ones are too big for their limbs typically. I keep an adult and a kids in the car at all times

    If you don't use it every day, odds are you won't want to carry it every day. Aside from your gat, I mean. So, non negotiable, you want a Leatherman, a dedicated knife for cutting stuff, a light, your piece, wallet, keys, and cell phone. Everything else, while very nice and potentially life saving, is straight up not necessary. Keep it in your car unless you're hiking or in a remote area. Your first aid, your small generator, radio, water, disinfecting tablets, your P90; keep all that in the car.

    Meanwhile in most European countries you're going to jail even if you just defend yourself in you own home 9/10 times

  • @lordmetzgermeister

    Tbh I don't really like your tip to "not say anything to the cops". How are they gonna know you just didn't shoot the guy in cold blood? You're the armed dude who's left standing. I don't know crap about US law but where I live (Czech republic) it's considered a extenuating circumstance to call the cops yourself, give first aid if applicable, tell the cops it was you who shot and called once they arrive, show them your gun and tell them a brief description of what happened. Also yes, you can go to jail if you shoot someone even while protecting yourself or someone else, if using the gun was excessive or could've been completely avoided. In my country we call it necessity defense.

    When it comes to the med part if you are a civilian or military idk if it's Army only? But if you get a slot to go to CLS GO! Civilian findsomething similar to it! Probably is something out there on the civi side idk. But it's a wealth of knowledge you will keep with you and can't put a price on it.

    Anson belt is good. They have a line of "edc belts" but all their non-leather options won't mar or fade. They were, as far I know, the original ratcheting belt manufacturer.

  • @ConcealedDaily
    @ConcealedDaily3 сағат бұрын

    @@12ealDealOfficial nice. The hunter Constantine’s edc belt is far and away the best over tried. Ratcheting is convenient but I carry 12+ hours a day, everyday. My back and hips would hurts grind the stiffness of the belt. Kore was my go to. Then I forked up the $120 for the HC belt. Absolute game changer

    In my 70+ years experience of living, I never regretted not carrying a flashlight. After experiencing about a half dozen physical altercations and/or threats of such, I never wished I had a flashlight on me at the time. Peperspray would have served me well in about half of those encounters. Only two of those cases would have justified a lethal force response (stabbed once and threatened with a rifle once). My daily defensive carry items include a handgun, a spare magazine, peperspray, and a lockblade knife, which is mostly for administrative tasks.

  • @12ealDealOfficial
    @12ealDealOfficial4 сағат бұрын

    Flashlight and Leatherman I use daily, inside and outside the home. But I do a lot of repairs and work under counters, outdoors in sheds, crawl spaces, under cars, etc. to go 70 years without ever really needing a flashlight on your person is impressive, but impossible if your work or home life spontaneously demands it.

  • @richardthomas6602

    Great advice man. One thing you might add to the this topic is if you have kids, the emergency trauma kit you carry. Even if it’s only one tourniquet is way more important than going out and buying the nicest possible pistol to shove in your pants. If my wife or my kids God forbid got shot. Or more than likely have a bad fall or a terrible car accident and I didn’t have my medical supplies on me. In that moment I would sell my house, give up all my guns and sell my soul just to have a 30 dollar cat and 10 bucks of gauze. Just something to think about. Thanks for all the good info sir!
