I knew that mall well. I was down the shore opening day, but was there about a week after and spent my teenage years there. Here I first experienced Chick-fil-A as they had a store front not in the food court area, but on the second story by Sears. The fountain was a beautiful addition and the elephant statue has been saved and is in Burlington City. I remember when some kids put soap in the fountain and it made quite a mess. Lol. It was sad to see the mall go. Fun fact: the Burlington Center was the death-knell for the Willingboro Plaza on Route 130 which was an open-concept mall as it drew away the Sears and most of the foot traffic from the Plaza.

I know this was 4 years ago,but in the beginning of this video after you look away from the sign towards the building, over on the 2nd floor where there is NO balcony, just behind the bush there is a tall black figure, looks like he has no arms moving quickly when he sees you. Looks like he climbs up the wall. His body shape looks like Steve Carrol’s (sp) character in the minion movies. It is really creepy! No wonder you were on edge.He looks like he’s floating.

10:13 That ceiling fan is a Dayton Marley Leading Edge. Judging by the canopy, it seems like it replaced a Dayton Ring at one time. Because most of these 90s/00s Daytons have the Flower Pot Canopy.

Mediums say that in urban areas, a lot of places are haunted. My cousin lived in a haunted house. That’s why his daughter got out of the house as soon as she could, because it creeped her out. My daughter’s friend told her that there was a ghost of a little boy that lived in the room that the washer/dryer was in the house my daughter was renting at. Maybe the spirit was

If anyone is wondering, as of Spring and Summer 2024, the Phillipsburg mall has now been completely demolished. The only thing that remains is the Kohl’s. It is left because Kohl’s owns that piece of the building. It’s a sad end to a mall that held such great childhood memories! 💔

It didn't survive very long at all, but when it was newer, people often drove an hour to be there. It was always crowded. It's hard to fathom how this could have happened. The South Hills Village, maybe 15 min away, is much older and it's still thriving.

Frankly I think the mall looks awesome, totally has loads of potential and that the narrator is grossly misevaluating the contents and potential of the mall due to his low self worth.

reason why malls have failed or in the process is that Online shopping hurt.. I remember people saying why go to the store when the store comes to you.. the malls couldn't compete and than Inflation, and lower incomes hurt ..plus malls also fell to the way side with people.. I been to East point on my travels to see my Family and damn.. sad sight

There was a Swenson's Ice Cream, Sbarro Pizza, Karmelkorn and many other restaurants there back in the day. Picture big hair and all of the 80s glory and it was a true high school kids dream back in the late 80s.

I remember visiting this mall when I was really little. It must have been the early 80's before the Dover Mall became popular. I still remember the blue-gray, grainy floor and the areas with plants and rocks. They had a pond back then with real fish in it. I was petrified of those stairs because of the gaps between each step, lol. I was really small and convinced I'd just slip right through.

Kmart's big mistake was acquiring Sears immediately after emerging from the first bankruptcy. Had they concentrated funds on updating their own stores and expanding alternate distribution methods instead of taking on additional debt with another major retailer, things might have turned out different.
