    It’s stupid give the kid the number not like Colman won a natty for us only number should be retired is 15 problem with our fans is they think we was so great back then and we weren’t we have 1 natty and 5 big east championships NOTHING TO BRAG ABOUT what did Colman do in the nba? NOTHING Melo was the only superstar ever that we had no one els did good in nba

    Eh I didn’t really love coach’s answer. I wanted to hear we’re trying to score every possession. We only need to win every game by 1 point, we’re going to compliment the special teams and defense. You don’t need to win every game by one point. You better blow Ohio out, you better blow holy cross out etc.

    I think there are a lot of homers and rubes who don’t realize that if Boeheim had been retained, none of this would be possible. JB was barely involved in recruiting the past decade or so. Barely lifting a finger and rarely making any AAU appearances except if only when convenient when Buddy was playing. Certainly not making it to any open gyms. Failure to bring in (or keep) any direct competition or depth to challenge Buddy/Joe. Our style of play really started to become antiquated. 2-3 Zone only and poor concepts in the halfcourt. Results on the court followed and caught up to us where we were fighting like crazy to even make the Bubble discussion. Then factor in the antics in pressers, behavior with the media, battling any valid criticism or concerns with bizarre retorts and even lies. Well, Wildhack finally had to pull the plug. Donnie Freeman was a HEAVY Alabama lean but when JB was not retained this all changed. No chance Westry or Starling come had Boeheim been retained. I could go on and on. Looking forward to this season as Red purged most of the disaster of the roster he inherited…from Boeheim.

    Alan Griffen said “get your popcorn ready” there’s obviously some stuff going on. Why in the world would we save a scholarship for a walk on? This is major league D1 basketball there is absolutely no case to be made for that what the hell are you guys even talking about?

    I have nothing against Mike but I always laugh when they interview him he just states the obvious. “Syracuse basketball could use another 3 point shooter” “If Kadary Richmond went to Syracuse he would have been a big get for them”

    I thought jj should have started at the point to open up judah more for his driving ability . This would have given the back court better chemistry. Jj seemed to be lost for the first half of the season until adjustments were made but the damage was done. Then we spent the rest of the season under pressure to get the net ratings up with virtually no home game opportunities available.

  • @carlmintz568
    @carlmintz5682 ай бұрын

    JJ is not really a point guard and is somewhat suspect handling the ball under pressure. He would sometimes lose the ball by moving too fast or would get it stolen. He didn’t have the pace, tight handle and change of direction that Judah has. In high school at LaLu and at Notre Dame he played off the ball.

  • @carlmintz568

    Nice praise for Judah from Griff. Much appreciated.

  • @carlmintz568
    @carlmintz5682 ай бұрын

    Much appreciated because Judah is often the subject of unwarranted criticism despite the fact that he always gave his best effort, win or lose. It shows that the coaching staff, especially Red and his teammates valued what he brought game in game out.

    NIL needs to have some sort of rules or regulation... NIL deals are contracts and should be treated as such and they should be 2yr minimums or something to that end.. this free for all has ruined college sports... and there needs to be a limit to 1 transfer per 4 years of eligibility per student athlete...you can still play right away after a transfer, but you only get ONE transfer....
