My trainer mainly uses draw reins, I always have a bad feeling about them, it seems to make the horses more anxious

I’m not usually not one to comment, but even at the NON-Fei competitions there is rollkur, overspurring and sawing your horses mouth as if you need to saw through the thickest type of wood. It is so disgusting to see those people “riding” horses. I am just going to pray that this will stop. Because I cannot stand it anymore. (Sorry for any misspelling😊)

I love THB's. I've owned, ridden, and coached different breeds - Welsh ponies, Warm bloods, Appaloosas, and THB's. Hands down, THB's are my favorite horses to work with. Willing, strong work ethic, generous and forgiving, and so athletic and versatile. I've evented, showjumped, and dressaged and shown them successfully. They are just the best a rider could hope for. Wonderful commentary. Full marks. ❤

Wow! I am impressed. What a wonderful Mustang you rescued from the BLM lots! If I am correct, this one is Juniper, and she is turning out to be a real gem! I love the interaction and your training methods. 🐴❤

I'm a new subscriber (June 2024), going back to catch some earlier videos. I am not familiar with all of your horses/names, etc. Just watching you sit with your horse at minute 2:44, was so heartwarming and special. I wish all horses (ponies, donkeys and mules) could experience that kindness, peace, love and care. 🐴❤

🐴❤ With more people speaking out like you are, maybe, over time, the conditions, the treatment, and the judging and racing guidelines and expectations of show and racehorses will change. I love how you gentled the two mustangs ( ? Mesa & Juniper, I believe). I am also pleased with the number of equestrians now using bitless bridles.

Forcing a horse to live in a box where they have to eat, sleep and poop all in the same little area and justifying it because you ride them for exercise when convenient for you is like forcing a human to live in a bathroom and justifying it by letting them walk laps around the backyard when its convenient for you and bringing them plates of food they can eat sitting on the toilet. Studies have shown that prisoners in solitary confinement come out worse than when they entered. Isolation and denial of our ability to socialise literally sends us humans crazy. Horses are no different. People who see all the arguments against stalling unless the horse needs to be kept in a contained area for an actual medical reason and still supports stalling. They don’t love horses, they love the idea of being a horse owner. The horse is a toy that gets put back on the shelf when they’re finished.

Agreed!! At my farm all the horses live out in the 10 acre fenced grass area! And whenever they go in stalls is only before and after shows, or if they need to have new shoes, etc

even pure wild equids like zebras are in wide open spaces all their lives. feral horses like Mustangs spend their lives in wide open terrain. horses were never meant to be stalled, stables are not supposed to be a permanent living area for your horse. it should be a shelter when needed.

We must live relatively close to each other because I recognize the one trail you use in your videos as the trail directly across from my house. I’m the waddling pregnant lady who is hand walking her horses 😂 I was asked why I don’t ride them instead and it’s because I don’t feel very steady in the saddle with a belly. But they still enjoy the walks so we go anyways.

I’ve noticed A lot of the hardcore show horses tend to develop vices more than the horses that have their work routine changed up and are allowed to be horses turn out is crucial in my opinion

I've not seen the clip of what Clinton jackass did but I do know if u feel that strongly about it it has to be insane. My daughter and I have watched all ur videos all in one day ! I think the way u work WITH a horse and train and horse is spot on chicky. My brother treats horses as u do. He taught me when I bought my first horse. He wouldn't let me ride him even tho my bro broke ET himself. ET is a Tennessee Walker. He was double registered and rescued from racking and pads by my bro. But for 2 weeks he made me do everything for the horse. Feed him. Groom him muck his stall absolutely everything came from me. And ET and I bonded first. Then he let me do short rides. It had been 15 yrs since I had rode a horse. ET could sense that in me. He was also almost 18 hands high too. But what I'm saying is it doesn't matter if the horse is broke or Ferrell when u get around a new horse in a new place and everything is new then take time to get to know ur horse first. Let him get to know u and trust u and u trust him. After that the both of u will be bonded and trust to know u have their best interest and ET always had my best interest. He protected me several times from falling off him for whatever reason. I trusted him to always know he would never mean to hurt me. Horses are extremely smart!!! They can sense things that we can't. I love horses for the beautiful animals they are. Baby horses and toddler horses are so so sensitive until u slowly get to know them and they know u. When u bond with a horse it's the best feeling in the whole world!!!! I loved ET and my bros horse holly she was a walker as well. But young lady u r so right about people who mistreat or mistrain horses do not deserve these wonderful animal. U can train even the wildest horse with patience and understanding. They are intelligent animals. Look at wild mustangs they can love and learn from us with patience and a knowledge of how to train and live ur horse. If u don't love horses then u don't deserve them.
