John Lautner Architecture Videos

John Lautner Architecture Videos

Hello I'm a huge architecture lover from the Netherlands. I was always a fan of John Lautner, but I realised that I never could find enough information of his houses and his designs. Also it was difficult to find an exact layout of his houses. I started a long search on the internet and collected many photographs. Now I combine those images with my own drawings, to create videos and to show people how the houses look like. To give people the feeling of walking through the houses. With this I want to preserve the legacy of such a brilliant architect. Later I want to expand this channel with videos of other modernist architects like Frank Lloyd Wright and Richard Neutra. Do you like what i doing? Please support me on Patreon to allow me spending more time with making these videos www.patreon.com/johnlautner

Thank you for the great video. When viewing these famous houses, I always try to imagine living in them. Often, what looks great in photos, might not be very livable. For example, I would want more privacy than this house affords. Yet, blinds, curtains, and interior doors would ruin the aesthetic. For me, the best houses are both architecturally stunning, but practical to live in too.

I've been to Fallingwater twice but not the Desert House. I prefer Neutra's Desert House because of the open space, which is quite a contrast to FLW's Fallingwater. One other little point, I'm not a fan of the FLW flooring concept in Fallingwater. Too Yin for me!

The four children of Bob Hope inherited the house. They try to sell it for 50 million but, after being for sale for many years, it was sold for only 20 million to Ron Burkle. He did a major renovation and remodeling to the house: bringing it more close to Lautner's original design.
