I just learned today that Meta (the company that owns Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp) is planning to use users' text, image and video data from Facebook and Instagram to train its AIs, Llama 3 and Meta AI. Only users who live in the EU will be able to opt out of having their data used to train Meta's AIs. Both Llama 3 and Meta AI can generate images (and probably, in the near future, video). Theoretically this means that someone could use AI to generate images of anyone who has posted photos on Facebook or Instagram. Llama 3 and Meta AI are supposed to refuse requests to generate images of real people, but there are known loopholes that allow users to do this . If you think this is worrying, please spread the word among people you know who have Facebook or Instagram accounts.

if you get 1st overall at a certain comp (24/7) then even if you change solos, you cannot compete at anymore regionals that year
