Great video, thanks!
@@flacajak thank you! And thank you for watching!
Nice looking Bike. Not decided yet what cruiser I'm going for, and never considered a Triumph until now. You are the first person I've seen open it up a bit. Most other reviews don't go over 50mph, and don't show the power. I was beginning to think it didn't have any ;-) So thanks for that. aesthetically I think it looks better than the Royal Enfield 650, so I put it above that one for now. I'm old enough to remember the likes of Norton and BSA by the way, so the Triumph looks like the Bikes I remember from back then. Very Stylish 🙂
I like the added touches.❤
@@user-fk2mp5xh4s thank you!
Beautiful bike ! I have a Black Speedmaster . Would have preferred your colour scheme, my favorite ,but no longer available. Your bike is awesomely done. I personally would not have added all those touches, but I will try to get the Carb union jack additions , and perhaps more. And maybe name my bike Aragorn ! So I have my Speedmaster, a Chrome RE Classic 500 and a 1975 Norton Commando. Life is Good ! Still room for another bike, perhaps my wife won't notice !!
Dude! You make me really happy that i bought one, in red, last week.
@@cptntwang great to hear! Enjoy!!
You are not English by any chance are you?
@@paulwalker797 😂😂😂 what gave it away!
this is a TFC Speedmaster bobber this is not a regular Speedmaster
@@edwardjeremias4087 ha! It was! I’ve just done a few things to it! It’s still a Speedmaster as it has pillion pegs and seat when I put the seat back on… also, forward controls unlike the bobber… the seat is in a different position to the bobber too… But yes, I was going for somewhere in between… as if they made a Speedmaster black…
need more flags and bling on the bike . . you only look half gay at the moment
Time for some rainbow flags! Gay is the future! 😂
The longest motorcycle ownership I have had was a 1980 Benelli 900 Sei which I owned for 38 years.
Have you fitted an aftermarket rear shock ??
I have now! The Ohlins shock.. it was too harsh to begin with but it’s on its softest setting and spot on…
@CaptainRambunctious do you know what the reference number is for the shock many thanks
@@paulclarke7461 it’s the Ohlins S36DR1 I bought it from eBay and came from Italy so I had to pay extra duty…
Great video, love this bike, I'm actually considering getting one as my first bike. Have you swapped out the beach bars for bobber bars?
Don`t you think all that brass might come across as a bit Larry Grason? 😂
😂😂😂 nah, there’s an awful lot more brass I could do!!
They sound perfect and look outstanding. Thanks for the vid.
Beautiful bike and great video. I'm doing my full A license later this year after just riding a 125 Vespa around lol (love it). Planning to do a big road trip across America next year and have had the speedmaster recommended for such a trip. Any thoughts? Thanks
Thank you very much! Yes. It should be absolutely fine for that sort of trip… to see how well it tours, check out my latest vids around the North Coast 500 in Scotland. I’m fully loaded in that and also the wales trips too… should give a good indication of how it works… Cornwall was fun camping as well… Good fuel consumption, fill every 130 miles or so. Very comfortable too… lots of leg room. Good luck!!
Please tell me you don’t wear the prostitute stranglers when you’re driving and it was the previous owner that left them on the centre console. Good choice of motor by the way, I’ve been scouring the Autotrader for one myself much to the disapproval on the other half.
Takes me back. I was an engineer at Jag working on those back in the day. Lovely machine. Very underrated.
Did you get the rear shocks?
Had a mate with an xk8. He gave it a squirt passing a truck n trailer. Cops clocked him at 208 kph. They took a rather dim veiw of it. They left it on the side of the road still running as they pushed him into the back of the patrol car. Fortunately his mrs was able to knock off and rescue the car. Lost his license for a year and got a $2000 fine. Like he said afterwards, there's nothing cheap about these cars.
A car thats way way undervalued ❤
It’s been my dream car since I was a teenager! Thank goodness they’re cheap enough now… took a couple of years to find one like this!
Lovely car..
Hi Captain, love your content and your beautiful bike.Question...with your experience of different bikes ,which do you prefer for long distance comfort . A T120 bonniville or your speedmaster. Many Thanks
Bro.... The only cold start is my morning and this shit popping up on my feed. Whatever. It's not even a decent jag it's just clean.
😂 what would be a decent jag in your opinion?
Womp womp, what colours your jag
@decent8945 what color is yours?
@@oFadeS my slk 350 is black
@@oFadeS his pushbike is red
Wonderful bike! The arrow 3 into 1 is where its at though
Most comfortable, best fit, motorcycle I have ever ridden.
Hello sir from Greece !! Congrats for your video as always . May ask you what kind of bars have you purchased ?? I’m 6.2 and I think they will more comfy for me. Thank you in advance.
Good evening! As the bobber black and Speedmaster are pretty much the same, they are the bobber black straight handlebars with shorter cables… you’ll need these too. Good luck and happy riding!
Thank you so much ! Keep riding safe!
A few too many bugger me with a references. I'm really beginning to wonder about English bikers. You get Drumnadrochit pronunciation pretty good though.
I think it would be nice if you could put dual gauges on the bike
With the condition of British roads , you let go of the handlebars 😂
Great point!
Plus Peter Chin is not allowed to comment. In summation I am being attacked while blind folded, both hands cuffed behind my back and also muzzled so that I can not complain
"I was proceedin in a northerly di rection me lord!.long john baldry!😊
Thoroughly enjoying the channel, Seriously considering the speed master but not a fan of the handle bars. I can see you’ve changed yours which ones have you used. Apologies I’ve you’ve said in an earlier video 🫡
Not a problem! Thank you for watching! They’re the bobber black bars, so pretty much the same bike so easy swap with the shorter cables…
As a prospective Speedmaster buyer, I most appreciate long term reviews. I believe yours has told me most everything I needed to know. New reviews are fine, but until you've lived with it for a spell & the new has worn off, do we really get to figure out how well it's gonna fit into our motorcycle life. I believe Speedy will fit into mine just fine.
That’s excellent news! I still have mine! Thank you. You’re right that the longer term reviews do help. The good thing about these bikes is that you can change bits to suit you, like mid foot controls from the bobber if you find the forward controls too forward, and the straight handlebars if you find you want more arm space… Thank you for watching and for your comment!
at goes as well as you would expect for 78 bhp, with 5-gears only
Did you know also that you can make wine from gorse flowers? They're a bugger to pick but you end up with a nice country wine. Great video series too. I route I plan to do when I'm next home.
29:07 you can behave like a complete tit on it 😂😂
Damn thats gorgeus mate 😁
I look forward to your comments on the new rear shock.......my poor speedmaster has to drag my 20 stone plus around, i was wondering about a meatier spring......all the best
I can highly recommend Nitron R1 mono shock and front fork cartridges, totally transformed my Speedy’s handling 😁
I see the road painted "slow" is treated as a suggestion across the pond as well ! hahah...
4:36 Your description of your seating position must mean you're relatively tall? That's one of the reasons I'm looking for my next bike, I'm a little short for my vstar, my sticks don't quite rest on the front pegs, they're more against them and I always feel like they're going to slide off. I have to point my left foot forward to shift.
What’s the with ear piercing screech sound on the walk around?
I don’t know! Is it me?
People like yourself make the Motorcycle community so lovely. thanks for sharing. Awesome bike!
What a lovely comment! Thank you… and thank you for watching!
In Australia cruise control is a given. Long distance riding demands it.
